Well. I think he backed out. I need to get my car up and running and he ran into family issues.. so I guess I'm staying CT for now. Maybe once he gets stuff sorted out I'll pull my turbo again lol

Little bit of an update. I got my HKS MAP sensor mounted. Need to plumb it in yet.. Not sure where to T off at.. any suggestions?

Also got a new spectre air filter.. I think it looks pretty nice. 40 bucks well spent in my opinion!

If you look at the bottom, you see where I mounted my EVC valve. Not sure if these things are water proof or not, which kinda worries me. But more than that, I believe the two big nipples go to the turbo and waste gate, and the small nipple is a MAP source. Not sure where I should tap this into either. There's not enough unused vacuum ports on these engines!!!

Also replaced my power steering feed line, which was leaking like a siv. No more leaks I hope!!!

And to top it all off, I did some maintenance to the DD. Only thing I'll have to do for 10k miles!

Just kidding it needs struts. Lol

Im confused, so I went back and read the thread again. I must have missed it.
What exactly is in your Supra. Is it standalone? I saw a note about anti-lag and also saw you put a filter on the stock accordion pipe with no AFM.. which confused me a little more.

Just wondering what the build specs are on your car at this point (seeing as you got a different one than the original story began with. :D

I'm going with the full HKS alphabet soup. As of now its a GCC, VPC, and EVC. VPC converts it to map based, GCC is just a fueling tuner, and the EVC is an electronic boost controller. Might get a couple extra hks goodies as they come along.

My anti lag was a bee r.. But I returned it as it didn't really function properly. Here's a video of it doing it's three round burst thing lol

I WAS going to trade a rebuilt ct, a blown 57 trim, all oil lines and water lines for bj91ts full t4 setup. But that fell through, unfortunately.

Mine is a HKS Longrunner manifold, SP 6262 .68 ar that I am going to swap to a .84 ar divided housing for a QSV. I run the HKS EVC-S boost controller. Was going to use a HKS wastegate but I have a Tial 44 mm one currently. Running a HKS 3000 pipe replacement with custom pipe on the DM 7m Intercooler upgrade (their crossover pie is wrong. All topped off by a HKS FCON VPro 3.3 standalone. With a good tune, it lets the 7m have a very smooth idle and very decent power curve.

HKS catback as well which is perfect for a 7m Supra.

If your going 400 plus, the ct26/lexus AFM/550 didn't cut it. Fun for 350 rwhp, but the turbo can only flow so much and your AFRs will always be if rich.

I also run a Denso mkiv fuel pump (280 lph I believe) feeding ID 1000 injectors in the stock fuel rail. Turned down the fuel pressure due to a bone wash situation at WOT.

I'm hoping to be able to find one of those HKS cast t4 manifolds. I'd love one... And an hks waste gate lol. But I was running a stock CT on stock injectors with a lex afm running 15-16 psi of boost.. Monitored AFR s like a hawk the first several pulls lol. Never went above 11.5:1 to be 100% honest. It was fun as hell... Until my turbo started puking oil lol. Granted, it was already smoking a bit when I turned it up..

Yeah I loved the car when I had the lex afm on it. Couldn't keep up with a "267 horsepower" sn95 though... I think he's hiding a couple horses from everybody. Seeing as I was making the clutch slip if I nailed it too low in the rpm range. And it's not like I had a bad clutch.. I was probably making around 375 to the wheels lol

Another decent sized update!

Got my EVC plumbed in..

Aaaand ready to fire... I think it looks pretty good. Just need to get that upper engine cover modified for my COPs and it'll look pretty slick, I think.

And with that finished, I decided to start piecing together my rear interior. Had it all torn apart for window tint. Also swapped to Targa plastics.

It just gets smaller...

I swear officer, they're for my radio!!! On a side note, any idea how to mount these suckers in the glove box?

Also hooked up the exhaust, and reinstalled the glove box. Aaaand that's about all I got. I have a job interview in the morning. So... Wish me luck!

Nice work on your car. Are you self taught in working on cars? I'm learning as I go and hope to get some good skills like you. I'm hoping to find a nice mk3 soon and add an hks exhaust to it. I had one on my tC and I loved its sound. Think it would sound so much better on an inline 6.

Kinda sorta. My trade requires mechanical knowledge, so that helps. But a lot of it was from this car and it's unreliability lol. My dad helps me out from time to time and I learn a lot from him.

It works I suppose. I'd like to make something different out of aluminum, but oh well. At least this is easy to fix if it breaks. And the HKS tuners are so simple.. nice and easy to install, and they work!

Loving the thread. Just installed my f con and waiting for my GCC to arrive. I don't know how the heck you are suppose to bend those wires and jam that ecu up there? That sucker is tight in the glovebox! Lol

My biggest tip is to remove the rear glove box plastic mount. The one with the plastic screw and anchor going through it stock. Then you can jam the harness up into the gap left... Itd be a lot easier if the extension harness had three female plugs, instead of one big one that's for sure!

My update for the day...

5300252318f6db9ebcb7bc4fcd9e5d71.jpg

Got this sucker in the mail. who knows, maybe I'll win some car shows this year...

I like the ultimate compound, and I LOVE that wax. I haven't used it on the Supra yet because I use the Klasse sealant glaze on it, but I use that wax on my Black 4Runner and it is awesome. I can't use the Klasse on the 4Runner because it streaks bad on black. That wax though, it goes on really easy, comes off easy, and seems to last a long time. Mine still beads water and its been probably 2 months of winter, multiple pressure washings after going out exploring in the woods and being covered in mud. It shines really good still too after just a wash, looks almost like it was just waxed. Where did you get that buffer thing? I've been wanting to get something like that but I'm too scared that I'll ruin the paint on my cars haha

I'd love to see a MK3 win some shows. I think I'm gonna try and enter some more this year and see if I can't win something myself haha
