Well I just got my Supra back from the body shop where they painted and mounted my 3-piece spoiler.

What do all of you think?

Thanks guys!

I agree that 89+ tail lights look better than the pre 89 tail lights, however I don't think that they would suit the colour and style of the car as well.

I think they would  :naughty:

When I get around to one day doing a different paint colour for my Supra, im going to make it a Dark Metallic Grey... slight shades darker than Gunmetal Grey.... A MKIII In that colour I think is absolutely deadly.... Especially with 89+ rears!

Time for another update, I finally got my KYB GR-2 shocks and Eibach lowering springs installed. I love how it looks!! Way better than the former 4x4 look!!

On these pictures its hard to tell exactly how much wheel gap there still is, but on the front the height of 2 fingers is tight, and on the back 3 fingers is tight.

TheKnifeArtist: if you had read my last post I did just lower it. As for new rims, I thought about it but I really like the original retro look, and since I have 2 sets of rims, Im planning on having the better set polished to a crazy glass shine. Also they are aftermarket fogs, I broke one and instead of paying $75+ per fog light from a Toyota stealership I just bought a new set.

Great looking Supra, exactly what I want and can't find....nothing says 80's style like a 2 tone Supra! Keep that pretty girl out of the winter salt.

It's ok if you like the sawblades so don't let anyone shame you into changing. I'm keeping mine but I did strip them down to the machined mirror finish that they should have come from the factory with. The spoiler really cleaned up the rear of the car and looks really good with the pre 89 taillights. It's different. Everybody wants 89+taillights. I agree with Quin, as soon as you get smoked by a Honda, or worse, you'll start looking into a GTE. You have a very nice car, keep it clean and out of the salt. I was a teenager in the 80's so I dig the two tone brown with brown interior.

Leave the rear setup, that's how mine is, I think it looks great the car looks clean. People will continue to tell you to upgrade to 89+ lights as long as you own pre89 lights. I agree you should do rims and also add a catback so the car is more fun :)

Oh and btw, can you imagine that car with a cfx pre89 lip

I look forward to seeing updates on this car, keep up the good work.

I would keep the pre-89 lights, there is nothing wrong with them, and the 89+ lights are NOT an "upgrade"...

I would still have my pre-89 lights if they hadn't been melted in a fire...I only have my 89+ lights because I got them for a great price.
