Basically, I'm to the point in my life when I need to do something stupid. Actually, I just want to sell the car to pursue other interests. I don't want the "you'll regret it" stuff, it's just a feeler to see if I can get enough out of it to make it even considerable. And if someone is seriously interested in it, I would much rather see it sell here for a bit less, than put it on E-Bay for some idiot to get and trash.

Some basic Info:
1982 Toyota Supra
102,XXX miles

Engine:
6mge - Stock Everything
All gaskets (except head gasket) and seals were changed this past Winter (Jan 2006).
Doug Thorley header
Rabid Chimp Intake
Dual 12" Flex-A-Lite Fans
mkIII Fluidyne Radiator
All emmissions removed
HKS Filter
2.5" Exhaust from the Doug Thorley back w/ an AeroSpeed muffler

Suspension:
Adco Front/Rear sway bars
Cusco front/rear strut bars
Monroe Sensatrac Shocks
Suspension Techniques lowering springs
Rear Camber Mod has been done.

Body Modifications:
Parts from multiple year Supras- Rear wing and Rear bumper. I never noticed it until someone pointed it out to me, the bumper anyway. :) Obviously it's not a stock paint code. All door jambs and the like were painted the right way... It's obvious in the pics that the job wasn't rushed. Also noticeable if you've seen the car in person.

Interior:
DAD Racing seats
I believe it's a Celica interior, I liked the hard plastic better than trying to find a good vinyl set somewhere, or piecing one together.
Pioneer CD player, Alpine EQ, Pioneer Amp, and Lanzaar 6x9's in boxes in the hatch.

I've taken extremely good care of the car since I got it back together. The first 2 years were washed everytime I took it out, and waxed at least bi-weekly. I didn't do anything that was a waste of money like 1000 mile oil changes or whatever people like to claim. If I drove it a lot, I'd change it. If it had been sitting for a while (think winter), I'd change it before I got it out. The car wasn't a garage queen. I drove it every chance I got. That's why I built it. It's got chips in the paint, but it's worth it to have put about 40k miles on it in the 4 years it's been done. Oh, and it has been raced/run hard, thats the other reason I built it! 15.3 was my best, but traction was an issue on launches.

I love this car to death, but like I said. I'm bored w/ it, and I can't afford to do anyother upgrades, and I don't have the time to do a 7m swap or anything like that. The car dyno'd 155hp I believe, but that dyno HAD to be messed up. I dyno'd close to 160 the year before and added the Doug Thorley, the intake, the radiator, and the fans, so there no way I could have LOST horsepower. The car also feels MUCH stronger w/ the new mods.

Anyway, I'm rambling so I'll just post my pics. If you think the car is worth $10k, tell me. If you think it's worth $500, let me know. I want HONEST feedback, please don't get my hopes up.

And I took these pics as she was sitting in the garage. I don't like to see her dirty, ever.

EVERYTHING was out of the engine bay when I painted it, I just do not have a digital pic of it like that.

Ive never seen this car in person, but if I had the money, I'd pay more then $5000 for this car. Its so clean and obviously well taken care of.

I could see this going for 8500.

I personally wouldn't pay much, because im not interested in mk2's.

But ican easily say this is probably the sweetest mk2 ive ever seen.

It sounds AWESOME to!

^ $8500 would be about the point I would consider selling it. Incase anyone was curious.

*edit*
The guys on CelicaSupra.com brought up a good point. It'd be a little more difficult to sell it since it's such a "love it or hate it" color. But I'm glad I'm not in a situation where I have to sell it quick and for a lot of money.

Really nice work and attention to detail. It's great to see someone take the time and do things right!

Personally I'm not feeling the "kermit the frog" green, but someone out there will surely love it, different is good! I wouldn't be afraid to stick it on ebay and get top dollar, set a high reserve and you can be sure someone isn't buying it to destroy it :)

I love the color! Every one will always be looking at your car. Well haveing the cops looking might not be a good thing. I also agree this car is a love or hate. So the price would only fit for those who like the car.

I like cars that aren't afraid of standing out ... and that one stands out:cool: . Unfortunately that model supra may not command the price you are looking for. You may want to get a professional evaluation. according to guides like NADA its only worth 1800 which we know is :bsflag: I can guess you have more than 8000 invested. If I was a bloke who liked MKII supras(I do) and wanted one that was nice (yours is) how easy would it be to find one that nice (next to impossible). That being the case. if you have the time you may find the buyer willing to pay 8000+. Would this kind of car make it on Barret Jackson ? http://www.barrett-jackson.com/scottsdale/consignment/faq.asp

No, I'm laughing because you said it, and it's your car. It may be true, but I would never downgrade your car. I think it's dead sexy. I'm car poor at the moment. I like MKII's though.....................lol

Well, my words won't mean much to this thread as it's just one of those things...Looking at pictures and seeing videos of this car, yes, including the paint, you hate it or you love it...but when you first see it in person, it's just mind blowing to see the attention to detail and the time that has been spent in this car. Would I go out of my way to paint a car Lime Green? Most likely no...but you better believe if I knew it would turn out as clean and jawdropping as this, I would in a heartbeat!

Forget it's looks and whatnot...Let's talk about the way this thing sounds!
It has the high pitch rumble of a 2J, has the healthiness rpm rev, so crisp and clean like a 6M should have! BTW: I wonder how many people on here are thinking..."GTFO. WTF is a 6M!?"

Well, just thought I'd get my .02 in here...Matt, I won't hate on you for wanting something new...IMHO, I DONT see how you're getting rid of it...but then again, I've never owned it...let alone owning it for as long as you have.

If all else fails and you just WANT to get rid of it.....

....

I'll trade you my 88 for your 82. :D:D:D:D:D

Yesssss, EVC included. C'mon...you know you want to. ;)

lol, j/k, I know that 5 of my cars wouldn't even be worth what your car is to you. Anyways, good luckzorz and I think $9,000 with everything included would be a great price to go with. Anyone that hasn't seen the car in person that disagree's with me...Shove it. You'd just have to see it in person to TRULY *awwwww* and *droooooll* at it.

LOL FYI: Before you girls say: "Ahhh, N/A, suxxors"...

It WILL. BEAT. a stock MKIII Turbo @ like 5.5psi.........don't ask how I know.
(I actually had a boost leak and would only go to just over 5psi...but still...it'll whoop y0 @$$)... ;)

And Matt, you dynoed on a Dyno Dynamics...which is about 18% less than what a Dynojet would read...so you actually have 191rwhp...FYI... :)

Dood, are you selling this car? Ok, if yur selling it, then it needs the location in the title, and it also needs an asking price...

If yur not selling it, then this thread needs to be moved...

I love this car, but you gotta PM me and tell me whats up before I unlock it...
