Basically, I'm to the point in my life when I need to do something stupid. Actually, I just want to sell the car to pursue other interests. I don't want the "you'll regret it" stuff, it's just a feeler to see if I can get enough out of it to make it even considerable. And if someone is seriously interested in it, I would much rather see it sell here for a bit less, than put it on E-Bay for some idiot to get and trash.
Some basic Info:
1982 Toyota Supra
102,XXX miles
Engine:
6mge - Stock Everything
All gaskets (except head gasket) and seals were changed this past Winter (Jan 2006).
Doug Thorley header
Rabid Chimp Intake
Dual 12" Flex-A-Lite Fans
mkIII Fluidyne Radiator
All emmissions removed
HKS Filter
2.5" Exhaust from the Doug Thorley back w/ an AeroSpeed muffler
Suspension:
Adco Front/Rear sway bars
Cusco front/rear strut bars
Monroe Sensatrac Shocks
Suspension Techniques lowering springs
Rear Camber Mod has been done.
Body Modifications:
Parts from multiple year Supras- Rear wing and Rear bumper. I never noticed it until someone pointed it out to me, the bumper anyway. Obviously it's not a stock paint code. All door jambs and the like were painted the right way... It's obvious in the pics that the job wasn't rushed. Also noticeable if you've seen the car in person.
Interior:
DAD Racing seats
I believe it's a Celica interior, I liked the hard plastic better than trying to find a good vinyl set somewhere, or piecing one together.
Pioneer CD player, Alpine EQ, Pioneer Amp, and Lanzaar 6x9's in boxes in the hatch.
I've taken extremely good care of the car since I got it back together. The first 2 years were washed everytime I took it out, and waxed at least bi-weekly. I didn't do anything that was a waste of money like 1000 mile oil changes or whatever people like to claim. If I drove it a lot, I'd change it. If it had been sitting for a while (think winter), I'd change it before I got it out. The car wasn't a garage queen. I drove it every chance I got. That's why I built it. It's got chips in the paint, but it's worth it to have put about 40k miles on it in the 4 years it's been done. Oh, and it has been raced/run hard, thats the other reason I built it! 15.3 was my best, but traction was an issue on launches.
I love this car to death, but like I said. I'm bored w/ it, and I can't afford to do anyother upgrades, and I don't have the time to do a 7m swap or anything like that. The car dyno'd 155hp I believe, but that dyno HAD to be messed up. I dyno'd close to 160 the year before and added the Doug Thorley, the intake, the radiator, and the fans, so there no way I could have LOST horsepower. The car also feels MUCH stronger w/ the new mods.
Anyway, I'm rambling so I'll just post my pics. If you think the car is worth $10k, tell me. If you think it's worth $500, let me know. I want HONEST feedback, please don't get my hopes up.
