Jay- It's been running for a while. But, last month it was having a charging problem or something along those lines. I replaced the alternator and that didn't fix anything. So, I cracked open the ecu to see if any of the capacitors were leaking and they weren't. I plugged it back in and everything was fine. I'm using the stupid XTD "stage 3" clutch and I hate it. It grabs ok, but it wasn't liking the burnouts.


I've also decided that I am done with the stock twins. More to follow on that....

I really want BIC's kit. But, just can't come up with the money for that right now. I might get the 1jz manifold that driftmotion sells for the CT26 and get a 57 trim and supporting fuel upgrades.

I had to come back for another 1J fix :icon_bigg !! Couple questions for ya ... I noticed I can't hear your bov , is it stock ? Mine with the stock one wasn't loud but you would hear it, just curious .. Also are your twins giving you some signs or are you just in search of more ? I like to hear about other new 1J's fired up as mine is fresh off the boat too so it's good to compare . Have you dynoed it yet ?

Yota- Thanks for taking a double take on the vids. I am using the stock bov. I have the "ebay" greddy type-rs on there. But, it decided to stop working. So, I hooked the stock one back up. I just need to get a quality bov. You can hear the stock one in the car though. As for the twins, they aren't giving me any problems at all. I'm just ready to upgrade. And no, I haven't dynoed it yet. Ben right above me (Bigzavz) machined my 2jz cams for me and I have yet to put them on. I've been a little busy with my new lady friend lately :naughty: . Soon enough though.


Ben- I will definitely be updating my build thread if and when I go single. I'm stuck trying to decide if I want to do the CT26 turbo on the driftmotion manifold. Or, go the other route like everyone else. I'm trying to make it affordable, but reliable. We'll see.

RIght on you have your priorities straight !! I need to get my 2J cams cut as well but don't trust anyone around here to do it right . I also need my 440's flow tested :nono: Please let me know when you drop the twins if the shaftplay is minimal and if no whining or leaks i'll buy them from you . I'm enjoying the twins at 16-19psi but I need spares as failure is just a matter of time . BIC kit or something like it will be my upgrade when funds and patiance permit ..
I went with an Apexi bov and really like the psshhhhh vs the HKS sharp screech like my neighbors 7M MKIII , it's just a matter of what you like I suppose . You can hear it in this vid and also get a lung full of smoke at the same time :biglaugh: ( also my 1st 1J burn :love: )

Go to this thread. Ben has a machinist that can do them to spec. Very quick turn around as well. All the details are in the thread. He is very trust worthy.

Thanks for that link , thats a fair price for a job well done . I hit 19.5psi today at 44* F so I have to get the 440's tested soon or i'm gonna blow my shit up before the cams make it to Texas , damn it's cold here today :3d_frown:
