Wow, you got one hell of a deal sir! Just read this entire thread and didn't see anything about head studs, are you using or plan to use ARP's?

I never saw an outdoor lift haha, is that at a shop or something?

The motor already has ARP head studs surprisingly! And yes, that's how we do in Idaho. Or when you dont have the clearance in the shop to put a lift in there....... It's our own personal shop out in our back yard.

Seeing as how I have to replace the pistons as well as everything else on this freaking motor, who makes the best stock replacement pistons? I'm not looking for any forged stuff quite yet (due to having a college kid budget), just something that will get me by.

I would check out the NRP pistons. Two places I know of where they are sold is ebay and Driftmotion.com. Both have the piston set for the 7mgte and the ring set. I have heard several times that they are the same (manufacturer) as the stock pistons. I can not verify this, but maybe someone else can? I think they would work as a good stock replacement.

Correction they are not NRP they are NPR. Sorry about that.
