Nothing i hate more in this world is a thief plain and simple.

Last night the one night i actually fall asleep early around 2:30 instead of my normal 5-6am and i get got.

They stole My Blue LED Escort 8500 x-50 , and my GPS. Nothing else was taken, thankfully they left the maft pro and LM-1 alone, or i'd be on a warpath right now.

This the last time i ever ignore my gut feeling. My drivers side handle is broke so i just have been leaving the one door unlocked. My gut told me yesterday to lock the door or they are going to get you ,and i shrugged it off.

Well thats my rant. *sigh*

Fuzz. You need another handle?

Looks like the doors I have will be gettin crushed, I could pull it for ya and send it out.

Most definetly could use a drivers side handle.Whole situation could have been avoided if my handle wasnt broke, because up until then i ALWAYS locked the doors

If you're going to put any kind of aftermarket radio in you car you must have an alarm. Even if it's an $89 Pioneer special. Punk thieves will bust your window and cause damage to your center trim piece just to get it. It's summertime, punk kids are out, and they're breaking into cars and stealing anything they can sell off. Usually stuff like radios, GPS, cell phones, digi cams, and whatever they can get their hands on.
You know, if thieves see the small circles that are left behind by a suction cup in the corner of your window they'll assume you have a GPS in your car. They'll bust your window open to get it... even if you have it hidden in center console or glove box.

Don't leave your doors open anymore, honey.

All the reasons above is why I leave my doors unlocked and leave the stock radio in place. Sorry it happened but be glad you left the doors unlocked. Broken glass, a damaged door handle or cylinder lock plus your stuff getting stolen would of really pissed you off. Locking a door isn't going to stop them from taking your gps or radar detector. I had my window broken twice so now I just turn my alarm on, leave my doors unlocked, and remove my toys. Its a pain in the ass to remove your valuables but its the best deterrent.

My friends always asked me why dont I get an aftermarket alarm on my 04 maxima, when I had such nice shit inside!

2% tint. They can't take what they don't know is there! I don't think they'll do "exploratory break-ins"

Would you be able to see inside if I had my windshield sun shade up?

Sorry to hear about your loss man. If you're in an area that tolerates it, dark tint and a LOUD alarm won't hurt!! Also, like I mentioned, the windshield sunshade, if they can't see inside they're not very likely to break in.

Around here, the majority of theft crimes are due to a drug problem. Not all drug users are thieves though. Don't get it twisted. Kids are broke, and looking for a way to pay for their next high. Sorry to hear about the break in. Coming from someone who has had it happen twice, it's not a good feeling.

You steal music.

Lets not get into that, I don't want to hear someone try and defend the RIAA in this thread. You're getting way OT if you do that.

BTW, I purchase more music and support more artist than most people who don't "steal" music.

So bug off.

You say all thieves should be hung. You admit to stealing music. It's no different.

You can't steal sound, man..

To OP, sorry bout your loss. I had my ipod stolen a few years back from my driveway, while I was awake in my room. Oddly enough, they left the digital camera which was worth 3-4 times more than my ipod. I almost wonder if it was some older neighbors that were sick of me flooring it down the road screeching tires with the music blasting (granted I never did that and turned the music down when I turned into the neighborhood), but other kids around did.

Anyways, if the experience taught me anything, it's always keep the doors locked, and don't leave valuable stuff in site, even when you think it'll be just fine.
