Here is what ive been working on latly, its an 84' Mustang that i got from a friend that crashed it. It was totaled and headed to the scrap yard so he gave it to me. It had 34K miles on it and was in great shape before tha accadent. Had a semi built 7m and drivetrain from past project that never went through so i decided it needed a home in the mustang. I wanted to see the true potential of these motors in a lighter more drag race suited chassis. (supras are great cars dont get me wrong but heavy and IRS as everyone knows not best scenario) I am a full time college student so this project is extremely budgeted. so far i have around 3K total for everything.

This is what she looked like when i got her.

I had a few gigs of pictures that got stolen with my camera during the build so i lost allot of detailed shots. The motor has JE pistons, ARP hardware, and metal head gasket.

Hooray! It's true! A guy in my manual trans class at school was like "Hey Chris, you've gotten your wish... some guy put a 7M in a Mustang... that's fucked up". Haha

You rule dude! :biglaugh:

so far the best time i had was a 8.4 at 91mph in the 1/8th. which the clutch was slipping hard out of the hole and little between 1-2 shift. hopefully in the next couple of weeks ill be getting a clutch.

trying to sell the 2JZGE that i was going to put in the mustang, if anyone would like to help fund the clutch!

Thats a really neat build! How much does your muspra weigh after dropping in the 7m?
I imagine its alot lighter then the MK3 chassi. Your time on the eigth with pooched clutch is decent too.

its around 3100lbs with me in it, I turned the spare tire well into the intercooler tank so its got 13 gallons of water over 100 lbs i can loose with a smaller tank. but it helps with traction for now untill i can afford a tank or a nice welder to make a tank. When i get the cage im going to strip the sound deadening and get some kirkey seats. should loose some even with the addition of cage.
