Muffler Popping at Idle after tune-up

Right after I changed my wires and plugs, I go to start my engine, which takes a few trys to start. And the engine doesnt sound the same, it also has a vibration like its dancing back and forth. The idle is also lower, gets ready to stall sometimes. There is also popping coming from the muffler even at idle. I'm starting to think it's running a cylinder short. I double checked to make sure I plugged all the wires in the correct ports in the coils, and they were fine. But I'll check again. Any suggestions?

double check wires and that they're going to the right place, if they are you may have gotten defective wires/plugs.

They are Iridium ix's which come pre-gapped.

If the box got dropped, they are no longer "pre-gapped".

which is why you should check them.... dont EVER believe the gap they say.

I never trust pre gapped plugs, always check them.
I got plugs that were pre gapped to far...

Makes sense since it came from UPS ground and traveled from Cali to PA, box must have been dropped atleast 10 times, lol. I will pull the plugs and check the gap. What should they be gapped at?

Edit: I checked all the wires for the forth time, they are all in the correct ports, still same symptoms and idling at 400-500.

Double check everything you took off to get to the plugs also.

should be gapped at .30-.32 if i remember correctly

Sounds exactly what my car sounded like when I had my plugs on wrong. Check that first of you haven't already.

Coil pack have to be ground? You mean ground to the head covers or are there wires that come from the packs? I havnt touch my supra in almost 2 weeks.

The coil pack has a ground wire too. Mine was broken & it had a miss. Replaced it & solved the problem.....

same that little ground can cause u to chase ur tail for hours and make u start throwin parts at ur car.

aha, there's the culprit. I damaged it while removing the coil packs. Can I buy the ground wire from the dealer or do I have to make my own.

Much much cheaper and easier to just make your own. I bet it just goes to the block somewhere, i could be wrong though.

its like 4 inches long, i just dont know what gauge(thickness) it is. Not good with electrical stuff. But i'm sure its simple, I'll just make my own.
