Starting to make progress once again.

Been cleaning the garage up but got distracted with installing the replica Turbo A Air Duct.

I now have three bumpers - cutting this one up to avoid ruining a better one. Once I'm happy with the placement, i'll be cutting a good one up

Have finished cutting the holes in the bumper skin, foam and now the crash bar!
Next step is to have some one fibreglass the vent in properly and have it all painted up :)

Well! It would seem things are progressing. I have fitted a Bomex Whale Tail to see how it looks - looks awesome to me! Just need to have the paint matched and fix permanently.

Today a friend and I loaded it up and dropped it off to have the front pipe done... Very excited!

looks like you have FD wheels on that supra... liking the progress though

those wheels are 14 lbs apiece FYI (light as HELL) mkiv wheels are ~ twice the weight of those

Oh damn! I do like the look of the MKIV ones though.
If I could find some, that didn't cost a nut, I'd get some Work Meisters.

now you're talkin  the mkiv wheels do look good, although for OE I still prefer the factory 91-92 wheels on the supra (they're pretty light too)

I'm savin up for some 5zigen fn01cr's

here's actual wheel wight I dug up so you could see (not sure if unpolished is the same weight)

a set of 93-97 polished rims were as follows:
fronts: 24.75lbs
rears: 26.55lbsthe 98 polished rims are a bit lighter without the ridges in the centers
fronts: 23.6lbs
rears: 25.4lbsthese are exact weights taken from a mailing center, not a home scale.

Toyota Supra 86.5-89 Cast 16x7 23.0 lbs

91+ 5spokes: 16x7, +44mm - 16lb/ea

Not too bad. At this stage I'm not tooooooo worried about the weights. If I get competitive I'll look at getting rid of some unwanted weight from the car ;)

What I do like are these ones:

They look Meister-ish. You know?

Haha I kinda get the feeling that you are. All good!

While car was at fabricators someone asked if I'd sell my wheels. I instantly thought about what you said about them being Lighter and sadly declined a sale. Oops! :p

Well! Pretty sick today so seems like a good time to do a update.

nite b's work on the front pipe is so nice! Realised i havent taken decent photos of it. Will get them a warmer day :)

p1947785_1.jpg

In the last two weeks, I got a new intercooler from 41! Before that had a friend around and he used a panel punch to cut a 4" hole below the LHS light - so easy with the right gears!

Started to dummy fit:

Just need to mount the intercooler properly and can finalise the piping :)

Long time no update.. Too much work and sickness getting in the way! :p

With the 2JZ in the JZA70 chassis the stock throttle cable is JUST too short to work properly. I know i needed the cable itself about 30mm longer.

p1961032_1.jpg

I ended up with a throttle cable from a Camry from a scrap yard. This was about 400mm too long so i had the awesomest idea of using the cable from the camry using the stock outside cable (what ever its called)

p1961032_2.jpg

p1961032_3.jpg

After i cut the cable i needed to fix a stopper to the end.

Had an idea of using a nut and bolt combo - a cut down the center and having the flanges of the nut crimp the cable.

Chur to the choice!

p1961032_4.jpg

Another thing i managed to sort today was the lower mounting points for the intercooler.

And earlier, i took it out for a wash! Whoooop!
