Mounting pistons to rods question

Alright I'm trying to slowly reassemble things.
Since lapping my block is very painful after about 5 minutes due to the wreck I was in about a week or so ago. my wrist cant take that for long so I've been doing a little bit of the small things.
Anywho I have the eagle rods as most of you already know. I can't seem to find that set of instructions anywhere. Whether I misplaced them or the machine shop did when I had the balance everything... I have googled the net and came up with nothing so if anyone has these rods and directions could you please post them up.
Thanks in advance.

Instructions are on red paper and my camera doesn't like it... These are from the wiseco instructions

1) Verify direction of pin offset
2) Install pistons with pins offset opposite of crankshaft rotation. Please verify rotation before installing

The picture is for 4 cylinder/inline 6

I come from a land down under
GTE Rods have a squirter hole down near the big end that sprays the thrust side of the bore.

My Pauter's didn't have this so it was important for me to get hold of a GTE Block....

The Rods do have a left and right side indicated by the Notches for the Bearing Tangs.

Nate: Not sure with the Eagle Rods but Pauter and most all stock rods I've seen have the notches on the same side.

In our motors looking from the front with the Deck up the notches are on the right side/intake side.

My bad on the explination, the notches are on the same side of the rod, just not inline with each other.

So notches on the intake side, Thanks.

Yes, the bearing notches go on the left side, that is the only indication for the aftermarket rods if they don't have the big end squirters (which is the case with eagle and carrillos)

The valve pockets on the pistons should also indicate intake and exhaust side if the wrist pin hole is not offset or if there is no arrow indicating front.

Now I'm worried, I did not check to make sure the rods were instaleld in any particular order, but the pistons were all installed with the valve pockets correctly, and the entire assembly was smoothly rotating when installed, so I hope I got it right.. LOL

The Pauters have no oil squirter holes, but they do have a hole at the top for pin oiling, and the ROSS pistons have forced pin oiling from the oil scraper groves to the pin bores. (Just holes drilled to allow oil scraped off the bore walls to lubricate the pin bores in the pistons.)

I took a few moments and polished the rod thrust surfaces too. (Just fine emory paper, but it sure made them smoother.) Then they were coated with TSX, a dry lubicant from Techline. (Same with any other sliding, rotating and moving part on this motor.) I even topcoated over the molydisulfied just because I could.

Ok. I may be blonde but someone clear this up for me or verify that im correct.
Ok the notches in the rod for the bearing face the intake side correct?
Also on the piston near one side where the notch is machined in it has the letters FWD. Foward correct?
So face the rod to the correct side saying the notches towards the intake side then mount the piston foward. If u were looking say at the block from the front intake being on hte right side. FWD would be faced towards you comming foward?
Sorry to type it out confusing but someone correct me if im wrong please.

Greg: In these motors it's not critical as the Pauter rods are symetrical but in say a domestic V8 the rods have a larger Chamfer to clear the Crank journal fillet so it's important!

Justin: Correct! :)
(welcome to correct assembly you'd be amazed how many "pro built" motors I've seen that are assembled wrong)
