motor mounts

hey, im halfway there to take out my head to put a headgasket on,
and was wondering while i have the head out, is it possible to change the driver side motor mount by just lifting it up using a jack and install it in?
i dont see why wont it work, but if it dosent i just dont want to go through that hassle.
anyone know?

I did both of them at the same time though.

If you jack up by oil pan use a piece of wood so you dont trash the oil pan. And stay away from the drain plug.

As you have a 91, I assume you know about using the MKIV TT mounts?

yes i do know about the MKIV mounts, its just one side broke and i couldent find an extra one within a day, when i put the motor back in, but now i got a 89+ motor mount for free so i couldent complain.
i know MKIV are stronger but if these mounts breaks again ill go using MKIV mounts
