Pfft... nothing like a 20k mark up on a 30k car factory new. I don't care how rare. My supra is rare. Rather drop the money on a completely stock and used MKIV seeing as most are them are in "pristine" condition. Those guys are nuts.

Inflation would like a word...

Car comes with brand new Bridgestones.

I bet you could get 'em to throw in new springs too.

They're not leaf springs, and they're not rusty... They're fine. I'd be more worried about every rubber piece on the car...

NOT driving it is the bigger sin.

Indeed. This would be a great...something. I'd like to think it wouldn't sit stock for long in the hands of most of our members :D

Disagree.

It's a car NOT art it's whole purpose is to be driven, if you don't drive it it's useless junk.

Don't kid yourself it's ever going to be a classic collectable or even an asset, it's one of many thousands produced not one of a few hundred or even one of the more desirable "specials" built.

The fact it's been run/driven at all even for the low Km's it has on it means it's a second hand car, this might be different if it had been trucked to storage preserved correctly and hermetically sealed, all it's doing now is slowly rotting.

It’s just a car.....

Id drive it, go 2J...

I once read a quote that says not driving your car to preserve it is like not fucking your girlfriend so she will be more desireable to her next boyfriend..

Well maybe it should be sealed? It would just be nice to know that there is at least one mk3 that isn't getting abused by some brokedick. Unless there already is, and in which case I say drive it!

If I had the money, I STILL wouldn't buy it. Simply because it's targa.

If GIVEN to me.....I wouldn't know what to do with it LOL.

I remember seeing a post about this car a while back and couldn't swore it had 52 miles, maybe I was just seeing shit or someone decided to add another 40. Hmmm....

Most collectable cars had thousands produced as well, it's just 40 years later that they're collectable and not 20 :p

Uh, no. Example, my dads car, the one in my sig, is only 1 of 920 1971 442 W-30 produced, 110 of those were convertibles. Yes they were thousands of Oldsmobile Cutlass produced but not many with the 442 and the W-30 package built. I don't remember what year but either 70 or 71 convertible Hemi Challengers there were only 7 built. I would assume it has to do with the options on the car to say it's value. But then again it is only worth what some one wants to pay for it. I think that some one looking for a perfect example of a all original third gen Supra this car would be worth it to them to put in their collection. Is there a such person out there, I'm sure there may be. If they were really looking to sell it I think running it thru a collector car auction would be their best bet.

There's a guy who lives near me who had a purple Hemi (yes, the Hemi, not the 440) Plymouth Superbird parked on his front lawn (most days, if something else isn't parked on his front lawn). The front bumper is pushed in because he hit a pole (iirc, our conversation darted around). He daily drives it. Says he owns one or two more but he doesn't drive those as much.

Real nice guy, always has something for sale on his lawn. Had a red 396SS for sale (THAT was pristine, looked like it rolled off the showroom floor) for a week or two, I drove past his house on purpose every day to work to look at it.

Lol.

Id up the boost and wait for the hg or turbo seals to go then swap a 2j singled and start with the suspension.

Base model Cutless goes for quite a lot because of it's age. It also wasn't the top-of-the-line car like the Supra was. Like I said, give it another 20 years...
