I regularly see people talk about 1UZ swaps, but very, very few ever do them...

There's dean marcum, the guy on v8supra.com, a couple here working on it, (myself included, though it's a stretch to say as I barely ever get to touch it,) and on lextreme.com there's people putting them in lots of things, mkIII's included.

It's a popular enough motor that there are parts available and if you read up on the swap there's few surprises.

No idea, but I'm talking about drive characteristics.

Sounds like a diesel, instant spool and torque but no top end.

Made it difficult to drive on street rubber.

It was a GT3040R BB with a .63ar hotside.

Pretty well made boost off idle and was fully spooled by 2000.

Might have some pics somewhere not really sure on the Dyno charts though as I lost a motor during one of the sessions so didn't record it.
(Injector laid down and torched a piston)

TT 1UZ. Lextreme also has a 2uz Turbo in an sc400 iirc. The heads from the 1u fit on the 2u block(tundra block).

lol you can use the earlier 1uz rods in the 2uz as they are thicker.

well i dont have the too much money right now. i know quiet abit about 7m engines and how they work but nothing too in dep. after having a 7mgte in my past supra, im looking for a turbo engine, if it would be cheaper to 7mge > t my supra i would do it rather then droping in a 7mgte. i have searched the forum to find out how to put in a turbo in my 7mge but it looks quiet complicated, i mean dont get me wrong im willing to work hard for my car but i wish it could be a matter of steps such as:
turbo manifold inercoloer and a few more steps, maybe a day or 2 of work.

man... if anyone knows if thats possible please inform me, ill be wiling to spend anything from 1500 to 2000 for the 7mge>t conversion.
