I usually shift at about 7200 but I'm not constantly watching the rpms. When it feels right, I"ll shift.

When went to the 1/4 mile track I ran 13.24 at 112, but It took me at least a full second to get it in third. Now I've got my clutch adjusted correctly and it goes in third effortlessly.

This saturday, I will be in Tunica playing poker, but next saturday I will put racegas in it and see what it does. Thanks.
what was your 1/8th on the 112 mph pass?

I'll have to find them but they weren't good, because I couldn't get my car to go into third that day. I raced four or five times and I never got it in third on the first or second try all day. My clutch wasn't fully disengaging I guess. Now it shifts fine, but I dont' have any plans to go to the 1/4 mile track any time soon. I do think my timing is off because of my SAFCII pulling so much fuel though.

traction, gearing and shifting will play a big part in et vs mph. i have 2 slips where i ran a 9.01@88 lol
incidently, i ran against a guy in a turbo mustang. he ran a 8.0@79

also, as far as 02's and race gas. i use a spacer on my bung so the 02 sits out of the direct airstream. there was a shop here that suggested that, saying its going to read the same whether its in the exh stream or not. i didnt believe that, so i tried w/o the spacer first. then ran w/ the spacer. to my surprise it was identical. the benefit of this is being out of the direct stream it will not clog w/ lead. it still will over time, but they told me it easily makes the life 4x longer.

I don't have an o2 sensor installed. It's just laying in the engine bay. Aaron has tricked the computer somehow with a resistor. My wideband reads well though.

your wideband is an o2 sensor.. it will die faster with leaded gas, dave's idea might give it some more life keeping it directly out of the air stream.

yea missing gears really hurt mph (on my car I droped 2mph in the 1/4 from missing 2nd.. but I got it back in in a decent amount of time I think)..

I say give some racegas a try, even some unleaded if they have it. It might help it a bit. With pulling so much fuel and that much boost, I'm sure timing is all overplace.. and it might be picking up some knock..

edit: do you have a dyno graph? I would like to take a look at it.. On my car with the crower cams the power felt like it started to level out ~ 7200-7300, but it didn't feel like it was losing any power so kept reving to my limiter (7600)

I knew you weren't being ugly, but from what I hear from everyone with the twins, the car takes off like a bat out of hell so I would expect you to run an 1/8 as quick as my car.

Here is a picture of my dyno where I made 419 rwhp. I will have to scan my other one.

Here is one where I made 441 rwhp.

Nice runs, next time get them on video :)

They are on video. They're in my buildup thread and I think I even started another thread just about the dyno videos.

They look like they're still climbing when he gets out of it.

I had a guy film it for me since it hadn't gotten dark yet. He didn't film my burnout and then all he got was me launching, and then went directly to the board so he could see my time, and he didn't even get that. It was a wasted effort. Then my wife filmed me twice, but I ran like an 8.9 or something like that so it's not worth posting.
