Hey all.
I had some fun times on Monday, let me show you pictures of what I was looking at. I noticed this thing while on a bikeride around town, I enjoy riding daily, it keeps me fit.

So I saw this car the week before while on the bike ride, then I stopped by Monday just past and got those pics. I talked to the people for an hour or so, I get really excited about supras so I just loved every minute! I talked about price, got her down from $1000 to $450 and we shook. Supposedly it has $800 worth of new tires. Called CAA, swung some deals with them and got them to tow my un-insured, un-licenced, un-registered, and un-plated car to my house ahahaa. It was not easy I tell you.

Hello up there!
p247462_10.jpg

He dropped it off in the driveway, and as it rolled off the bed it almost crashed into my garage ahahaha I was using all my strength to slow it down. I succeeded.

So I revelled in my new aquisition for the day basically. Tuesday, today, I got cracking at making it move into the garage as my mom needs the driveway for her car. The supra wouldn't start; it has a bhg. No electrical worked. So, we exchanged the batrery in and bought a new one, and tried it out. All electricals worked! Car wouldn't run, it cranked and turned over fine but no run. Back to store and I bought Bosche platinums. Put them in al cleaned the massive amounts of oil out of the valley( there was like half a glass worth eeewww!!!) and cranked and cranked... 3 attempts to crank and it FINALLY roared hesisantly to life!!!! We got it to idle at 1000 or so, rock steady idle too. MAJOR surprise at that idle. So, off we went down the street! It drove bad, but it was driving, ps was dying as it was hard to turn. It was puffing HUGE amounts of white smoke out of the exhaust ahahaa. My mom thought there was a fire. I mean like it looked like the clouds had flaoted down into my street it was thick. Anyway, This last pic should say how things ended for today.

Tomorrow do some cleaning on it, maybe start fixing the bhg as I have a spare hg from my turbo gasket kit for my engine anyway I might aswell try to fix this NA for free right :p
Specs: 88 NA 5spd targa without ABS, no abs frees up soo much space in that corner! I loved it.

It's a big deal for CAA to not tow a vehicle which doesn't meet certain requirements. One being it needs plates, but the nice lady let it slide for me this one time since I haven't called them ever in the past 2 years :biglaugh:

Nice find Stretch!!! Its hard when you see them to not but them isnt it!!! Looks good!! The interior seems to just need a good cleaning looks real nice. Body looks clean too. You have to get that old molding off. I hate how the pre 89 molding makes rust. Looks like a little tlc and you will have a nice sports targa na. So what are your plans with two cars?

Well, I'm sure some of you guys have seen a pic or 2 of my engine. Over the past year I've been building up a turbo engine so I bought this car for the transplant down the road in a year or 2. I still need injectors and a turbo for that engine and then it'll be done. I'm having a sethron ffi made for me also. I plan to clean this car up, replace the rusty doors, take off all the shitty metal moulding and replace with plastic, and replace the front fenders. That'll take care of most of the rust ahahaa, but there's a bit in other places I will try to address, like i said most is on the doors tho. I want to try and fix the hg so I can putt around in it for a little while while I finish the turbo engine. I don't see me dropping it in the car for another year or 2 tho, so I'll be NA for awhile :1zhelp: Oh well, atleast it's 5spd, my last supra was a 92 turbo targa auto, and althought incredible, it has nothing on my 5spd NA ahahaaa.

Good find Eric!
Nothing wrong with driving an NA.
So long as you have a turbo supra or turbo engine waiting to go in, anyhow ;)
