:dunno: what rubber bits in particular?

On the 89+ there is a small strip that goes on teh mouldings.

I too would like to know the best way to stick these on.

That's gonna be pretty tough to do unless it's just the strip off of 1 or 2 pieces of the moulding. If the strip is off the moulding around the entire car, just leave it that way. Without the strip at the bottom the moulding is flat, and looks better IMO.

You'd need to use some damn good tape as I tried that and I lost a few pieces. Maybe I just applied itt wrong or something.. :dunno:

I do not recommend double sided tape for anything on the exterior of the car. I know some is hardcore, but then there's a bit of a gap too that it creates. I prefer an epoxy when dealing with the outside of the car.

Just buy new!!! I went to a trim shop and they sold me new with 3M backing. I think I payed like $20 all the way around the car??? Take a piece of your old in for them to match up size and style. It may not be perfect in style but trust me nobody will tell??
