MKIV Wheels

Are the chrome MKIV wheels heavier than the painted version of this wheel?
I talked to someone who has Chrome versions of these wheels but I was looking for the silver painter kind. But was wondering if there is a weight difference, as I might still buy them and paint them myself.
Thoughts?

And if you ask why not wait for a set of painted wheels to pop up, I havent seen any in a while and these I can get for $300 for all 4.

buy and re-sell. Thats a great deal.. if all else fails ebay them and you're bound to make some money. Be patient and some silver/painted wheels will show up and you'll make a profit.

dont buy the chromes and paint them. They're worth more. if you can get them for a cheap price, buy them. sell em for a bit more. and buy some normal silver ones and paint those. then you get what you want and some money in your pocket maybe.

Good points.
If/When I find a set of silver mk4 wheels...im not looking to paint those.
Otherwise i'll get a set of aftermarket wheels which I was planning on doing from the getgo, but if I can find a good deal on silver mk4 wheels, i'll use those instead.

Yeah do that cuz chromes ones are hard to find already and painting them would be a waste. I'm looking for some chrome ones to buy but one have come up.
