Not sure if this is the right place but I do have a MKIII With MKIV wheels that I may get rid of. I am thinking of buying new wheels, a little bigger like 18s. I have MKIV wheels on there now but not sure what they are worth. I looked around a little but just found the chrome ones for sale, these are not chrome and are dark gray. Painted by the PO

Let me know what you guys think.

Yea sorry they are the 17" wheels, staggered. Not sure if I am selling. Dependent if I can get enough to offset me buying new wheels.

Wheels are bald, so I would remove them before shipping. I don't think they have been curbed. I will check tomorrow. $300 for the set would be nice if I can get it.

If they are the wide Turbo wheels, I would think they'd be worth a bit more than $300... Just IMO, I would check around for recent comparable sales here and at other forums. Don't want you to get ripped off.

I hope they are worth alot more anyway, I'm sitting on a set that I'm thinking about selling.

this should probably be moved to the classifieds...

Not selling in this post, just wondering and asking for opinions.

I might sell if I can get that, good luck with your sale.

Similar situation here with the NA 16" wheels. Really pretty good shape, no "curbing" to speak of. I'd have used them, but the fronts didn't clear my Wilwood's! DOH!

These are also staggered. I think I paid $350 WITH used rubber all around, AND a pair of fresh Kumho's for the front. (Sold the Kumho's for $75 and the fresh BFG's I put on the rear for a STEAL!)

If I had an easy sell local or pick-up otherwise, I was thinking $300 for the set of rims as clean as these are... I see you guys are saying the 17" staggered are anywhere from $300~$400 (less rubber) in most instances... are the 16's holding any interest out there?

(Sorry to t-jack... thought it might be useful to others to see our dialogue and this line of inquiry in general.)

G/L with yours, OP!;)

I already had the MKIV's on the rear WITH NEW RUBBER (255/50/16) and then found the fronts just wouldn't clear the Wilwood's! I had to run the Solara rims on front for awhile, then went back to all Solara rims until I can track down (and AFFORD) some Work Equips.;)

Do you have a pic with the 17" mounted? I'd like to see the "visual" difference of the 17's compared to the 16's.

Same picture as the first post

Yup. Going back and forth between the pics, I don't see any difference in "design/appearance" except the diameter (hard to tell... but it's there).

Are 17" and 16" MKIV rims identical except for the diameter? Are they both 8" and 9" fr/rr stagger?

(I should know this stuff, I suppose... but never really paid attention until now! DOH!)

I still like these rims on the MKIII! I would have been wearing them if mine had cleared that BBK up front! I wonder if the 17" would clear it?

I'd expect you can get $300~$400 for those 17's without much trouble. I think they are a well suited match for our cars.;)

I believe this to be true. Still no estimates on worth? If you can't get rid of them, I'll take em' and have them fixed and painted at the wheel place up the northway where Russell took his BBS wheels.

Oh, and you can have my 16" inchers as beater wheels or whatever. Wouldn't be bad having the 16s layin' around in the garage.

Cherry condition with no rubber and center caps = $500. Might have to drop them down to $400 for a quick sale tho.

I picked up mine at a junkyard from a wrecked MKIII with awesome Michellin MX Pilots (235 fronts, 315 rears) for only $60ea with all but one centercap. Front tires had 85% tread and rears around 35%.
