i wouldnt trust it till i could physically see it, that is a crazy low price for what it is. and if it is real then i would have to believe that there is a serious problem with the car.

Since it's basically a $50-60,000.00 dollar supra for eleven thousand, I would say it's a scam. There are so many MKIV scams out there that it's pathetic. Be careful what you try to buy, and remember, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

yeah. thanks. i'm not to familliar with mkIV prices so i had to make sure that the occasional low-deal doesnt come up.... i figured it would fetch 30k easy without having a real idea how much it was worth. i figured over 11k alone went into the engine.....

thanks for the info. i wasnt looking to buy it but just learning about the scam world and getting a feel for the mkIV market.

Please. Why the fuck would someone sell you a 97 MKIV for $11,000 when you can easily sell the car for twice that in a day, three times that in two days and probably considerably more if you are willing to wait a few weeks?

P.S. - That website is just full of stupid: http://www.chooseyouritem.com/autos/files/268500/268615.html

The descripition on this one is a hoot:

http://www.chooseyouritem.com/autos/files/135500/135857.html

One of only 20 rare 1988 TRD Supras - LOL.

It appears that every single Supra on that site is overpriced, a bunch of bullshit, or more likely, both.

exactly, buddy of mine here in town just bought a BPU++ 97 6 speed in emerald jade with only 40k on the clock for $41,000 cold hard cash and I'd say he got a deal since it has the mods, low miles and it looks facotry new, I'll post pics later this month when we take it out. It smokes his c5 z06 and his buddy's 911 turbo.

e-mail and ask if you can pay cash at delivery. You probably won't get an answer at all. A NO answer would be a straight out admission of scam. A Yes answer, and you need to definitely find the 11K to go look.

I've seen that car for sale before on Craigslist, Ebay, and Auto Trader. It's definitely a scam.

i knew it looked familliar....

lol.

maybe i will play with the scammers a bit.

i found a supra N/A for sale in oregon that used to appear as a scam before i emailed and said "is it really a turbo?" and they changed it... maybe i should post up so SM can eliminate it from CL...

it had pictures of a N/A motor.... now that it doesnt say turbo it looks legit...
