What did they do to make it half a second slower in 91?
I didn't think the weight of the cars was much different.

That is very suprising power for those mods Strato!
Especially at the wheels. That's over 100 hp from an exhaust and hardpipes. I wish I were that lucky.

I did not mean to confuse you, but my buddy actually raced the SRT4 with his 91 Mustang GT. Being bone stock, he was happy with his 15.5 on a 160,000 mile 5.0.

You can call BS if you like, but those were the guy's times. Maybe he is a horrible driver, maybe he lied about how much he had put into his car, I don't really know. All I do know is that he wasn't that quick...HTH...:)

My dad drives a slightly modded SRT-4 (exhaust, hardpipes etc.) He admits my car feels alot faster than his. They have some power, but no traction :D They'll beat alot of cars, but not a properly modded supra.

you should deff give him a run for his money if not beat him. I know I raped my friends modded SRT against my BPU 1JZ last summer when i first swapped it in. They deff dont feel all that fast in them, but have potential

srt-4 is nothing but a jellybean with a turbo!

a fella i work with has a stock one for his dd, and i whoop all over him without even trying too hard. then again it is his first turbo car and he seems a lil afraid of the spool!!

With all cars, especially SRT-4's and trying to launch those front wheels, it's all about the driver. At the Winged Warrior even that took place a couple days ago, the built SRT-4's there were running mid 13's and that was an aftermarket intercooler, BOV, hardpipes, just other little things like that. Along with mustangs, SRT-4's have seemed to be one of those cars that just love to mess with MKIII Supra's...I've noticed that from MANY videos and from personal experience. I only dynoed at 231rwhp on a dying .57T CT @ 10psi(low boost)....I killed an SRT-4. I also toyed with one with a stock CT on there @ 11psi and pooped on it as well. They are quick if they person knows how to drive. 'Nuff said.

SRT4 with stage 1 Mopar, 25 shot of NOS, slicks and basic intake/exhaust mods runs around low 13's high 12's. I raced one a year ago and beat him, but barely. He took me out the hole, but I reeled him in. They appear to be fun cheap cars if you can stomach FWD, or everyone saying "its still just a Neon".
