I kinda like it myself, though it's a bit too subtle for me when you couldve jumped on a factory pre89. Looks terrific from the side and probably the front though!

What I'm antsy to try is the 2011+ Mustang GT California Special pedestal spoiler:

Interesting use of the euro hood scoop from the MkIV if that is what that is...

Nah that hood I think was custom made, but for sure not the MK4 euro scoop. This car is actually belongs to a good friend of mine...prolly the cleanest if not one of the cleanest MKIII's in the state of Florida :)

No worries then. Just looks similar I guess. I always did like offset scoops on cars with inline engines... makes a lot more sense that way. :p

I need to find out. I saw one at a recent meet, and I wasnt about to start measuring with arm lengths or look any more weirder/awkward than I already am haha. Time to search the innertoobs to find out..

You might like mine then. PO put one on, after some searching, found out it comes from the late Z31 turbos.

Lonnie, that would be from an early Z31, 84-85 had them IIRC. Only thing is, I believe they were functional on those cars. Not to be a downer, but not sure what it would do where yours is positioned... maybe allow some cool air in to get some of the exhaust heat away from the engine and out the bottom of the car at speed?

Doesn't look bad though. :)

You're right, thanks for the clarification.

The previous owner claimed he put it there to "cool the turbo" and underneath the scoop was a nasty hacked up square of missing hood with frayed, uneven edges. It was embarrassing even at 15 years old in that he really didnt know how the car works well enough (also has an HKS FCD, a diesel/small aircraft turbo from the 60s or so, and wastegate pressure is at like 18psi).

At any rate, the hood flew up and smashed my windshield..so with a black N/A hood (sticker is different) there's no way to tell externally that the car is turbo. Weee.

I'd really like to design a drop in reverse hood scoop kit for stock hoods. We'll see
