Hey dude I got an idea. do what YOU want to do, its your car, NOT theirs, Yes it would make it unique, some would like it some would not. buts NOT their car, so they can get over it

i was trying to see what everybody thinks i don't know if i will do it or not. but i love the way it looks and thinking bout it more ya'll are kinda right its way to curvy to go in such an aggresivly lined car. so i'm back to the drawing boards on this one i want to keep with the lines but i also want the look and feel of the mk4 dash. any ideas? i don't want to have to make a completely custom. i mean a transplant would work for me. i just got used to the way that the fc3c dash is. that was a 91 rx7 convertible. it reminds me alot of the mk4 but the mk4 is more curvy and cosmeticly pretty.

Do a full custom dash, that way you get exactly what you want. would be a lot of work, but using glassfibre is not rocket science. and bastardizing another dash in there would probably be just as much work to get it looking good.

The thing I think would be tricky would be getting the AC vents, shifter, steering wheel, etc to all fit and work properly with it. I could imagine that would be a tricky job with all the little tid bits that rely on the shape of the MKIII dash to line up. I agree with the OP however as far as the MKIV dash feel...it is more cockpit like in the big eclipse (heh heh had to say it) however I dunno how it would feel in the MKIII.
