I went to DPA in Long island around 12am last night looking for the MKIV members, no where to be found. I was cruising up and down the strip, saw nothing but ricer clubs hanging out in parking lots. It's about 3 miles loaded with fast food places and dunkin donuts, etc..
As I was crusing, about 4 to 5 cars started staring at my car, guess they never seen a car like mine. After that group passed me, a turbo'ed CRX started pacing me at my left quarter panel. I was like "sweet, an opportunity to see how fast these POS's really are". I was in 2nd the whole time, I went WOT right away, as soon as he heard my turbo spooling up he gunned it.
At top of 2nd switching into 3rd, he was at my left door. WOT in 3rd, I put a bus lenght on him. Coming up to a red light, the guy didn't even look my way, guess he was pissed. So the light turns green, both of us took off normally. A f-body camaro was behind the crx, he started checking out my car and started pacing me. I slowed down to give each other room from the crx (about 4 car lenghts). I didn't really feel like racing this camaro but I had to show him this 80's car got ballz too.
Camaro took off first ( I don't know why because the crx was in front of him, guess he was thinking his car has enough power to get in front and cut me off?). So, I went WOT in 2nd already passing the camaro. The cheating son of a bitch crx already took off as I was switching into 3rd. I was about a car lenght behind him, I had to play catch up. At the top of 3rd, I was 1 car lenght in front of the crx then I shut down. The guy did a ricer fly by and left, guess he was extremely pissed, oh well. All in all, I had fun.
I guess not many people expect a MK3 to be fast. I was boosting at 20psi which is about 480rwhp and 510rwtq. I'm sure I was loosing HP because of the summer air. Sorry guys no Vid, next time though.
