i noticed that the earlier verison of the mk3 has different lights then the later ones, well let me get to my question can i put the newer lights on to the old model:1zhelp:

Yes, I've seen it done on here alot (or at least I think I have lol), but I haven't ever done it. Maybe someone will post up how to do it.

I did it. You buy all three pieces (left, right, and center). Then you remove all three of your pieces. Then, punch two holes for the lower bolts on the 89+ center piece. Make sure to use USDM bulb boards, because JDM ones don't have rear side marker lights.

I think that's it.

And the "SEARCH" button is your friend.

Alot of people have done it. You can also swap the three piece wing as well to make it look more like the 89+.

i just did it. Just remove your rear interior and from there, its easy.

I like the 89 front on the 93 better than the other way around.

dont forget to buy new light gaskets to seal them up. dont overtighten the nuts on the lights are it may crack the lense. the right rear light does not seam to curve around to meet the metal part of the fender. Mine and others have a little gap there. if you tighten it up too tight it may crack the lense. just tighten it to be mounted and fill in gap with silicone.
