something very minimalist would be nice, like a stout hood with only the large center vent and the other smaller snaggle vents removed. I feel it would be a nice balance between the stock hood look and still give some ventilation to loose some heat from under the hood.

just my two cents.

I know it won't ever happen but the Stout hood w/o all the extra vents would be my absolute perfect, most favorite hood ever, even more so than the CFX cowl.

Here's my best attempt w/ MS paint to show what I'm getting at with the Stout. Maybe someone with good PS skills can make it look a little better.

Ninja Edit: Sir smokesalot beat me to it.

thats exactly what i was thinking :) im too lazy to mess with the minor flaws my hood currently has so if i am going to paint a hood when i do body work id rather rock a purdy FRP hood like FST's gnarly MS paint edit of the stout hood (thanks for the pic by-the-way fstlane, i was too lazy to edit a pic lol).

anything flashier or covered in vents and id just rock a stocker / FRP hood oem style.

i dont know if that hoods available or not (or if any hoods are available. Im use to having to make most things custom cause of lack of aftermarket)

I'm partial to my hood :) Pete (Weezl) made it for me. Its still in black primer right now, it'll get painted after the centralia meet with the rest of the car. Its a 1" raised cowl (maybe 1.5), with a duct that comes out right behind the radiator, just infront of the belts.

I think a wider vent that extends beyond the edges of the cowl suits the car much better. the narrow vents that only extend from one edge of the cowl to the other on the mk3's hood look too narrow to me.
