I think the most important would be a rear end locker, nice stiff suspension and some hard drift tires. Also a smaller turbo would be important for quick petal responce like a stock CT 26 with boost controller. The cars are very long so you would have to be carefull to leave room for the back to swing out without hitting anything. A nice tight ebrake lever and good rear pads would help for brake style drifts. If you really get into it another good idea is an aftermarket oil pan that would hold oil near the pump at heavy g's Thats all the basics! =)

or you could fine tune all of you're techniques while stock, that way, when you go aftermarket it'll be a lot easier for you to control the car.

and stock bits cost less to replace. because you WILL break things.

braking is KEY. never forget that. proper weight transfer is what drifting centers around.

good info on suspension settings.

adjustability is a very good aspect of the stock suspension on supras. but you can also get bits to adjust it further.

eibach has some camber bolts for like $40 that adjust +/- 3 degrees.

some good RUCAS are also suggested, but I dunno who sells them for mk3s.

of course coilovers are a good idea, but not necessary. companys like tein and HKS are always in good standing of course. but a newer company that I've heard none but good comments for is stance. they make freaking awesome coilover for the 240sx. I dunno if they make coilover for mk3s tho. but the one for the 240 is 16-way adjustable, and come w/ two set of springs for under $1000. the valving is getting some awesome reviews from the locals as well.

chassis stiffening is ftw as well. you can just weld in bars if you dont want to spen money on pre-made units. normal spots are towards the tops of the rear strut towers, behind the front seats, close to the floor, and in the hatch.

also, if you just take some 1" square tubing and weld it lengthwise onto the bottom of your car(on the outside/underside), it will also help the rigidity of the frame. this is and old-school trick from road racing..

upgrade your bushings as well. polyurethane is good, but I'd definately go for some whiteline nylon bushings. they own. hahah.

thats all I can think of for now.. but I'll post some more when I remember it..
