first a little intro since i have never posted here.

Project: mk3 supra

ok so on to the build.
Goal 700+ rwhp turbo 5.3L
Progress: as we speak the swap is being done. currently the motor mounts are being worked on, i really did not want to risk doing this myself rather have it done by someone who knows what the hell they are doing when it comes to my safety.
85% percent of the parts are purchased just waiting to find out which turbo i should do, but im waiting on seeing how much room i have to play with im thinking a t-76 will be perfect. anyway interior will be stripped (sound deadener and everything taken out but there will be new black carpet) one seat, roll cage, and that is about it. going to be my weekend toy. the only luxury it is keeping is the ac(fuck florida)

Problems so far: driveshaft- finally found a guy to custom make one
radiator- no fucking idea whatsoever anyone have any ideas??

YES ITS AN AUTO (i have my 6-speed in gto and dont want to deal with it on this car)

Talk about going into beast mode If you go V8 best way is to go LS series hands down

for the record 700 is my low goal
3 stages is how this is going to happen

stage 1: ported heads, cam, stock intake (300rwhp)
stage 2: turbo 11psi, 580ishish rwhp (seeing what breaks)
stage 3: highest without race gas (mid 20 psi i hope) (seeing what breaks)


after that race gas and meth

haha i like your build process "see what breaks" haha. One thing is FOR SURE, that that automatic is gonna blow up rather quickly if its anything like the poopras automatic.For your radiator thing id say look into a koyo, they seem to make good radiators, make sure to get a nice set of electic fans as well... Lookin forward to seein this swap!

ha i have a dd why not just see what breaks lol.. im sure alot is.. the trans is good for 700hp so it says and has a warranty for 3 years so blows once i get it fixed, blows again which it will ill do powerglide or th400

Stock ecu with efi live tune for now should be fine.. Key word should.. The guy doing the tuning says it will work

update : purchased forged connecting rods and pistons with 8.5-1 compression.
also got my hands on a t76 .96 turbo.
engine is currently being fitted into car while making some custom engine mounts. will post pictures once engine is mounted..
also decided on doing black paint now instead.
bought all clear exterior lights.
also bought a used gauge cluster and took out the two gauges on the far right im currently in the process of fitting a boost gauge and a/f gauge in the spots so it looks stock. will post pictures when done unless you really want to see two empty holes lol.

no problem.. im actually having a friend make them who owns a custom fab shop.. so im sure he could make more if anyone needs them.

Motor mounts are being fabricated now. I ordered the require bushings and hardware related to mount the engine and trans.

Engine mounts will be a compact tubular design but will be extremely strong.

I have skipped painting the engine bay until last. I want to get this engine in and running then will make it pretty.

I ran the psi harness and looks like I will mount the ecm in the glove box as well as the psi fuse panel. I will mention the harness looked pretty nice but I have already found a few very loose clips a few actually fell off. I will go through and repair and replace what is not acceptable or up to my standards.

Radiator fits great the new mounts arrived sat.

Soon as the supplies ordered arrive I will have some pics of the engine and trans mounted in the engine bay!!!

finally got the pistons, and decided on 317 heads that will be milled to 68cc.. should leave the cr at around 9ish-1... should have some pics up tomorrow of the motor mounted.
