Hi I'm Brian and this is the story of my car's and my supra. This is also a build thread for my supra.Well as some of you know my name is Brian and I am 18 years old and I have been fixing up cars since I was about 13 and got prety good when I was about 16 but always get better and better and learn more and more everyday.Any ways the supra is my 5th car I had picked up a 93 4 door civic auto that was crashed in the front when I was about 14 fixed it up and made some cash and this is were is all started I had 3 integra's and I'm out of the honda game for good!!to much b.s. if you know what I mean well heres my car.

It's a 88 5 speed turbo hardtop a great car to start off with I think.

This is how I got my supra on 12/31/06 (I've had her for about a year)

I got the car for a great deal I traded my 91 integra for it I know what your thinking honda well I got the car when I was 15 and did a lot of work to it but when i traded it I took out my B20 vtec and gave it to him with a stock motor and I took most of my goodies off of it and sold them.well I'm out of the honda game and for good wouldnt mind an S200 tho.any ways Seeing that I had a good car with almost no rust (some rust in the wheel wells)The frame was strait I got to work

First I started with getting 91 5 spokes off some guy for 120$ with 2 good tires and than from there the front end was a must(also got my friends Z32 rims in the front)

p866288_5.jpg

I wanted to get a good set of coilovers but with not job and just the money I had saved from the honda parts I got a set of eibach springs and tokico shocks I didnt want to do it but it's better than nothing and I will be DD this car for about a year or more and still needing to learn driving Techniques this should be good enuf for now.

This is the car droped in the rear only with the new front end

dose any body have a wingless hatch with no rust and everything there because I would like to do a even trade for my hatch with pre 89 wing. It's mint let me know people.

edit:Idk why but some of my first post got deleted so here it gose

Types of racing car will be doing:auto cross-even tho it's mosty getting sun burn and having to tell the old guys that mg's are the best car in the world lol but you do get a lot of driver skill out of it and it test you,touge-fun if you do it safey and you have some nice roads,drifting-this is a no brainer it's the most fun, road racing-it's a lot of money for track time but well worth it and I'm sure I will be going a lil drag racing just to see how my car perforums.

Plans for the car

motor:I realy want to got with a 1J but am still thinking about a stock rebuild on the 7M with port and polish head with mhg and arp head studs.

suspension:tein coil overs or TIP coilovers, still don't know what sway bars I'm going with, tip tie rod spacers, would love to find a pair of jic adjustable a arms, all new poly bushings, undesided on what strut bars I want.and over time a roll cage

body:clean it up a lil bit fill in my license plate indent, stay with the pre 89 front bumper, get 89+up tails, wingless hatch or 89+ wing, new wheels dosent matter cause I'm a wheel whore just don't have the money for it lol,and paint my car a dark porsche grey

interior:all black,keep it two seater,racing seats,black carpet,nardi steering wheel.

What I have done so far that I could remember:replaced front end, replace front pads, new spark plugs, clean engine bay,gut out int, painted most of int black, new rims, new tires, hks ssqv bov, installed eibach springs, installed tokico shocks, tilted my hood for that cool ass look, removed about 70% of the sound deadening

To do list:install ss brake lines, motul 600 racing brake fluid, new belts, install my turn signels, new thermostat, and thermostat gasket, order and install tip steering spacers, finsh painting my int black, get black carpet, paint my rims gun metal, remove the rest of the sound deadening, change oil,and change trans fluid.

thats all I could think of off the top of my head there most likey more things I have to do I'm going to be doing all of this up at my shop in about 4 weeks but for now I think I'm going to put in my turn signels.

hope you guys enjoy

peace,Brian L.

Looking good so far! I want in info on tilting the hood.

You're right, you will be doing more and more with this car as long as you have it. You should get a job to fund all of it. Maybe do something that relates to your car experience, and who knows you may just get good pricing on some of the stuff you need.

thanks for all the nice coments guys.

to tilt your hood is the cheapest mod in the world it's only a dollar mod just take one of you hood bolts off bring it to a hardware store and just get a lot of washers you could get about 16 for a buck I have 14 (5 on each back bolt and 2 on the front one's)on my car as of right now and might put a few more in there it make it on a lil more of a tilt. You will want to use a marker to line up the hood when you put it back on.Just put the washers in the back bolts(fartesr from the front of the car)and for the best resault put 2 or 3 washers on each side of the front bolts so it's more even.

Also I do need a job badly!!!!hopfuly when my car comes out next month I could deliver some pizza(witch is a easy job to find around here)or a job at a shop or somthing.

Thanks for the hood tilting info. Here's subscription info in return.

At the top of the page, go to Thread tools. It's near where the gold stars are in one of the blue lines. Click to expand that, and subscribe is in there. Click that, and then you have to click again to say you are sure. After subscribing to several threads, you can go to "USER CP" (Control Panel) . Every time there is an update to any of your subscribed threads, it will show up there.

Also, there is a setting that automatically subscribes you to any thread that you post in. I don't know if it is a default, or if I set that up at one time. Go click on User CP to see if you already have subscribed threads.
