Fine, though it is embarasing. I tried the "coilovers" on my 87 N/A. They are just threaded sleves with two locking perches that go over the top half of the strut and are secured by giant o-rings (giant red flag). the springs are also far smaller in dameter than stock and don't work well with bumpstops, dust covers, or the shape of the front strut mount.

Now for the real problem. They don't lower the car much and are noisy as hell! In fact you can raise the height of your supra more than you can lower it! 4x4 action baby! Went back to stock spings and ordered some real lowering springs the next day. I wish I had pics but I was very poor at the time and didn't have a camera yet. Pay the extra ~$30 for some springs or save up for real coilovers.

well in all honesty, you should have just looked at the design of those 'coil-overs' and see they are MASSIVE failure....

MK1 has a upper ic pipe with an 'hks' bov, and a short shifter thats been used by quite a few people on here...

Indeed, but at the time I was a total car Noob with only Honduh guys helping me with my first delving into the car world. It was also the last time I took their advice.

so why did you even post what you did in the beginning? you just admitted you were a noob, and you feel for a simple ebay 'scam' as i would put it... have you ever personally bought a mk1 brand product? or at least had a friend buy and use it?

Bought it straight from their website and used it. http://www.mookeeh.com/
Four Years Ago. Before I started learning about cars. Before rebuilding an engine, doing all the bushings, exhaust work, Harness rebuild, full suspension, and other odds and ends I have done on numerous cars, trucks, suvs, and vans.

I'm just being nice and don't want some other supra owner to make the same mistake I did. I'm not saying all the products they sell are crap, just the one I purchased. Kinda hard to screw up a shift knob or a hard pipe. What do you run that company? If so I still want a refund.

nope, just tired of people bitching about people selling stuff on ebay when we have vendors that sell the same stuff...

and do i run that company? hell no, i couldnt live my life through an ebay business... lol

so you purchased it 4 years ago, you learned, and now you know. but, how come you didnt just post up the product asking about it? im sure there were plenty of people who would have told you to NOT buy those 'coil-over' things he was selling...

and i understand your trying to protect him, but some of the stuf mk1 sells i would buy, but i dont want just one hard pipe for my IC system... so i dont buy it.

its just buyer beware, and to the OP... what exactly do you want to buy from him? it would make this thread a whole lot easier to answer.

eh... running a business is harder than you might think. and mookey deals a lot in starion parts... weird...

not on any forums? first thing i do when i look into a car is join up the forums to read the 'looking to buy a _____ faq' and the 'common problem faq'... i dont like buying a car with no knowledge about it.

Mark.....just get a good set of lowering springs..won't cost that much more. These sleeve over so called coilovers don't work well with Supras....not only Mookeehs..but anyones. lol.
Look into H&R/Eibach/B&G ...

That's not necessarily true. TIP Engineering has a very nice spring and sleeve set-up for Bilstien struts. Uses Hypercoil springs, and handles quite well :)

I'm using them now. If it wasn't from Wisass, I wouldn't have bothered. I should say they don't lower the car much, and aren't really intended to. I'm much more interested in the handling aspects, and I got what I wanted :)
