In on a group buy if one gets started. Thats 2 less hoses I have to buy from Toyota. Now if they could do like Samco was doing and make EVERY hose on the car.

I just received the black upper and lower last week. They appear to be very similar to my Samco hoses (even have the blue silicone inner layer, or maybe it's rubber; I don't know). The only reason I ordered the set is because I have the 1J Samco hoses and the lower just won't sit right with my 7M and Fluidyne.
I'll try to remember to take some comparative photos between the Samco's and the Mishimoto's.

Turns out the new hoses are OBX and not Mishimoto's. Sorry for the wrong information. I'm not thoroughly impressed with the OBX. Roughly 20% narrower (makes for a tight squeeze) than the Samco's and there's 3 layers or blue sillicone (or rubber) and only one layer of black silicone (where with the Samco's it's the other way around). They feel very sturdy though and I'm sure their still better than rubber. They run big and will need to be trimmed; but I find that a nice feature since everyone's running different radiators. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mishimoto's are very similar, if not identical, to the OBX.
