First, You are talking about a G-force. I have a Mines. Second, prove that mines shares anything with another company. Mines, is very quiet about their products (they scratch the part numbers off the componets). And thirdly, if Mine's is good enough for an MK4 or a Skyline, I wouldn't think twice about getting the ecu. Unless you any useful information to help me find out about A MINE'S VX-ROM, kindly leave my threat.

scratch the number off the product? So did G-Force. So does Techtom. You are not telling me new information. It is well known and documented they did that to prevent a rev eng of what they did! ;)

But since you insist on not verifiying what the sticker says. Good luck to you as you will need it!

I thought about buying Mine's ecu once. They were cheap on internet about 500 bucks. Unless you are the original owner that order from Mine's on your specification. That ecu will do you more harm than good. 7800 rev limiter without forged internal and upgraded valvetrain will destroy your engine real quick. You don't even know what injectors its programed for, 550 , 680, 750 or 1000 cc. That's why it sell so cheap on internet because nobody , unless you're the original, know the spec in it.

1995 called... they want their stock 7m ecu technology back. :sarcasm:

Herein lies the problem with a "tuned ecu". What was it tuned for? What octane gas was intended to be used? What, if anything, was done to the timing map?

Hi there,

you can send these pictures to Mine's in Japan via Email. the number on the front plate is a serial number to the ECU and the tuned it recieved. You can also wait a little longer and have Mine's look at it here in the states. :naughty: Yes Mine's is coming state side!

There is nothing better then the stock ECU for daily realiability. Japanese for years have been using ROM tunning with great results, the only issue is the language barrier and the lack of knownledge state side. All of this issues will be fixed as more of these companies start to migrate to the USA.

good luck and I hope it helps, here is a link to get you started:

http://www.mines-wave.com/english/INQUIRY_E.htm

Fill out the form at the bottom of the page and send them all the pictures you have from the inside and outside of the case.

Here it is in Japanese,

Thank you Jose. I am going to get started on this now. Any idea when Mines will be state side? BTW how about those fuel lines.

Whasian

is it possible to have the rom re-programmed by a reputable person, such as the supra-sonic guy who makes his own?

I talked to guy in charge of setting up Mines USA last weekend and there still scouting locations in Irvine and Torrance he told me he expects the company to be running in 60 to 90 days. Also I have VX-ROM in my car right now and have had nothing but good luck with it so far. Mine is programmed for stock injectors with bpu mods. To my understanding this is the Standard 7mgte ECU unless otherwise stated

If you know something about microprocessors you can reverse the code since the Denso D151802 has no software protection at all. There is a free disassembler for the Denso D151802 micro. You can find it here.

Kashi has a slightly better one for sale on his web site. And I have the absolute best one because I wrote a module for IDA for interactive disassembly of this cpu.

This is the first time I have seen the guts of the Mines ECU board. Its interesting that Mines used discrete logic chips to operate the CPU in external memory mode. The Techtom uses a single ASIC to do this.

In a few months I will start posting information on the detailed code in the 7M ECU, assuming the boards I have coming in today are finally working right.

Since this is early 80's cutting edge tech, the D151802 has 384bytes of RAM and 12kB of ROM. Those are not typos!

Also of interest, the ECU has a hidden (16bit) data port inside allowing high speed access to ECU data in real time that presumably the Toyota engineers used during development. The internal data port allows the user to choose what data to monitor and allows up to 200 requests a second. Every ECU board I have looked at has the layout for this port, but the actual components needed are not installed.

Hey 3P

I iwll look forward to your findings :)

A while back i started to take on the initial undertaking but due to the 2 Chips that Toyota uses ont he 7m instead of the typical 1. I kind of let it be and then lost intrest when I went Tec3. :)
