The beings that inhabited Iceland after disconvering Greenland decided to name them like they are because they wanted to keep the green and good looking Iceland all to themselves giving it a name that makes the country appear as a less desireable place to live, while nameing the less appealing island Greenland, hoping to deteur(sp?) other travellers from their little haven of Iceland.
