After my BHG repair and a new head, i drove the car for about a mile today, when i returned and parked the car. I removed the oil cap to find a almost milk like substance on the oil cap. Is this like old stuff being pushed through the system and i should change the oil now or what? I wanted to get some opinions before i keep driving it.

Coolant looks fresh still, no oil in that, i even checked the resovior. Also, turbo is burning oil if that plays a part in my milky situation. But overall the car is running good for just being started for the first few times.

Question:

Do you use Penzoil? (Sorry cant spell) I had that experience with Penzoil They have some sort of additive that does that to the oil to make that milky look, I think it's detergent that does that, although I'm sure since it's been along time since I've used Penzoil. Something about their formula that turns it ashy milky.

Don't freak out just yet!!!

Does your cap look like this:

That was my oil cap right after a headgasket repair. What it turned out to be was all the assembly lube on the cam journals from the machine shop. You need to do another oil change and wipe the cap clean. I had to wipe it clean a few times before it was all gone.

BHG means you have coolant in your oil, so if you do not chnage your oil then you're sucking coolant into the pump and then it is sent to bearings, it EATS bearings.

Start freaking out if you didn't chnage your oil. :aigo::aigo::aigo:
