All the starting and warming up you did probably added more condensation than it removed. I drive 5 minutes to work everyday, just enough to hit operating temp a hundred feet from my destination. You should see the oil cap on my car. Looks like my crankcase is full of sour milk. This is why I have a $300 honda accord to drive to work and back, lol.

With the low compression, I'd drive it for a bit and run some good gas through it (google "Top Tier fuel") and the compression will probably improve. If your engine was sitting for a while it could have light rust in the cylinder walls that will go away or it could have some deposits on the valves that need to clean themselves out. I've installed a few JDM engines that gave poor compression results initially, but then improved drastically after a short time driving (thankfully).

Probably really is just condensation as the testing you've done seems to confirm. My 1jz did this at first also for at least a few drives. I was concerned I might have a BHG too. After I wiped it off and went for a longer drive or two it went away. If you had a 7m at some point you are probably paranoid about it for good reason. I thought, Oh Lord did I just spend all this money to replace a blown motor with another blown motor. Thankfully it wasn't the case. Definitely not a good feeling when you don't know.

So, it is true with the 7m there are a million horror stories and you get conditioned responses. Deal with it you 7M'er

Non issue on a correctly built 7M though ;)
(there are MANY badly built Jz's popping HG's if you look around the forums, Engines aren't stupid proof no matter how good the design)

I guessed at you responding like that. You of all people know why the "stories" exist.

Truth! AND truth is that I have witnessed more JZ's break over 7M's.

probably because they thought the JZ was indestructible and pushed it to far. but realy..... you've seen more jz break? thats crazy! i always here of the 7m breaking and not being as reliable as the JZ:)

oh and i have been out of town away from my car for 4 days now, i get back home tomorow and will take it out for another long long drive and get ready to do another compression test soon. but it realy seemed to be doing better.

I am not going to get baited into a 7m debate Duane, I don't really care. Most people cannot afford to properly build a 7m or just are to lazy. But the internet has not been nice to the 7m and people are conditioned to think it is a pile of shit. The comment of deal with it 7m'er was directed at Kenny and was a joke.

^And was taken as such. :)

I certainly didn't intend to start anything; but, since we're here...another thing to consider is the number of 7M's vs the 1J's here in the states. All we've had were 7M's to break! As a result the 1J's started getting swapped in...

I am not debating. And baited? LMAO. When you had your 7M, you would be on the same page as me. I think once people go 1J, their whole attitude changes, it's contagious it seems. You can't control which type of people buy these cars (7M cars) obviously. lol You will however see more and more younger people buying the MKIV and see many engines blown! The only difference is that the older guys that currently own the MKIV don't get on the net and say, my shit blew up, what a POS engine.

It's all good. :)

I honestly have, I have no reason to lie. I know of 9 off the top of my head. Many were much less power than me too. So, no, not pushed far as they could.

Your question: The milky way sucks in a cap but it could be condensation as pointed out. The test came back negative from the fluid EG test which is good. The next thing I would do is a comp test. easy to do. Then followed by a leak down.

deja vu, just had this exact conversation with a local M3 guy. The e46 crowd is starting to see what the MKIII crowd saw 7-8 years ago. Cheap parts followed by ignorant owners.

take it for a drive and dont worry about it. I know your going to worry anyways but it will pass. Almost 7000 miles on my car this summer (5 months) and I didnt have any major issues.

took it for a long drive today! drove for about an hour and would check the oil cap every 20 min and i did not see any milky crap:) car ran great and i will do another compression test soon.

but i think grim was right a low battery, cause it sat for a week while i was gone and it was totaly dead and had to use jumper cables to start it.
