it's pretty scary stuff!!! I hate to see when Isreal is envolved in conflict, it's a precarious situation. Since nobody in the neighborhood likes them. I also don't think they should just sit idle while terrorists try and undo them. But yeah, it's scary!!!

ever heard of the crusades?

Christains took it over in the 1st crusade and didnt hold it Very long. and that was in the middle East. and LOTS AND LOTS of people died in the 8 stupid Crusades. 4 important ones, but 8 crusades.

so IMO its not our war. and we've been fighting with them for about 1000 years. and yet not to be a winner really. just loosing people

+1 to Israel. I hope they wipe half of those countries off the map. They certainly have the ability to do so. Let them deal with that area and get us out of there.

The thing is if this war escalates, then USA would get more involved since Israel has a very close alliance with USA.

Iran does alot of shit talk. Something should be done to shut their mouth. I think Iran together with Syria funds the terrorists and teaches hatred against the west.

My boss's friend who is about 75 years old now says that we have the GPS technology to locate and bomb a target within 100 feet or less.

Cheers,
Roy

Yeah, what do you think the Tomohawk cruise missile has been doing since the first Gulf War? There is no doubt that we'd win any kind of conventional war in the region...or any region for that matter. But as we are learning in Iraq, once the conventional war is over. It's a whole new ball game. One for which they are better prepared and trained than we are at this juncture.

I disagree, I'll only say this one thing (due to a binding obligation me and the government have...huzzah!...)

They aren't better prepared, politicians are just in control of our military and have been trying to lead military operations since Vietnam. It's not about winning wars anymore, it's about politicians trying to make themselves and their parties look good, so they hold the military back from completely raping our enemies and try to solve things "diplomitcally," which wouldn't be a bad thing except for one thing...they can't even decide on things in our own freaking country!

I agree that we could easily go in and kick some major ass against the insurgents and terrorists. But it wouldn't be pretty in the amount of collateral damage that could and probably would be incurred among the civilians and innocent population. That wouldn't look good on us in an area of the world where we are liked as little if not less than Isreal. There really is a delicate political situation in the area that needs to be addressed, unless we want to have a permanent (and substantial) military presence in the region for the life of most of us here on the boards.

Understandable about collateral damage except this isn't Vietnam or even the first Gulf War to some extent. We have INCREDIBLY precise munitions (especially the Air Force, hoorah AF!) now that really limit civilian casualties. Either way, you're going to have civilian casualties, so which is really better...

taking out the insurgents by just tracking them down and killing them all over that country and maybe having civilian casualties cap at 1000...

or trying to do it diplomatically with world government groups that are corrupt as hell and really don't do anything to help situations and having insurgents kill our soldiers and their (insurgents) own countrymen and have deaths and casualties at like 10,000 and allowing insurgents in other areas to recruit and refill their ranks?

Next year I commission into the AF and to be honest, I'm kind of nervous. Not because I'm going into the military or because I'm probably gonna diploy somewhere, but because the military isn't allowed to do it's job.

I'm considerably more concerned about North Korea. And this is nothing new, I was concerned about this before we went into Afganistan and after the Taliban

I'm pretty swamped at the moment, so I don't have time to post the details, but if you go do your research you'll find that situation a lot more scary...

With Israel, it's "Fuck with the bull, and you get the horns"!! Those stupid, ignorant "rebels", TERRORISTS! are finding out again, that they ain't shit, compared to the might of the country that flies the "Star of David". God bless the Israelis, may they be completely victorious, over the enemies of freedom!!!

I am pretty oblivious to anything that doesn't affect me personally, so I have no coment on the subject. However because of this whole deal gas prices are rumored to go even higher. Like to 4.00+ a gallon!!!! I dont know about you guys but I am not ok with spending $65.00 to fill up my supra. I dont even want to do the math on what it would cost to fill up my dd the 4runner.

The middle east is always been a violent place because the people there are brainwashed by religion, corrupt leaders, and possibly demons (just kidding on that one but who knows). The people have an average I.Q. of 2 and are mostly self centered money hungry religious zelots who hate anyone different from themselves and furthermore wish to kill anyone different I.E. Israeli's. I think arabs and the islamic religion are a major problem in the world, when was the last time you heard of an amish suicide bomber or jewish people hijacking planes to bomb new york building. Israel shouldn't be called off like they have in the past, and maybe we should just level all arab states with a nice big neutron bomb or Fuel air explosive, either way it would end quite a few global issues in less than a minute. I'm sick of the world's tolerance of ignorant, violent, corrupt people and thier psuedo religions that preach hate and destruction or are at least interpreted that way. When you tolerate something to the point that they can do anything then you are in fact a MORON. Just a few thoughts.
