Now I know I'm going to get flamed, but I was wondering if anyone has used a Methanol injection kit on a 7MGTE powered Supra. I am worried about a few issues, one the corrosive aspects of the water and also the increased compression ratio while in use. I have a stock headgasket and I run 10psi of boost, stock turbo, upgraded intercooler, hardpipes, full 3 inch exhaust, stock ecu and all that jazz. I was wondering if these kits would do more harm than good? make any noticeable power? what potentiol hazards are in store for the engine? and anything else you guys may know about these kits and what all they do. I've seen one used on a supercharged sc400 that only kicked in when under vaccum or positive boost and it had a automatic switch to open and close the injector.

FLAME ON I know its a dumb idea and question but a full motor build and turbo are out of my means and will be for some time.

I come from a land down under
I'd be more concerned about the corrosive properties of the Alcohol Will it's really unkind to Aluminium, I've ran Meth Injection in the past as a bandaid on NA/T type motors I've built where I had limited control over the Ign curve and it worked nicely but it was a bandaid and if something goes wrong and you've tuned to it you're in trouble.

to avoid corrosive effects people modify the injectors or add a set @ the runners to avoid most of the damage.

It is probley going to be more pain then its worth just because your running the stock ecu if you had managment or standalone that would be a good start and a wideband at that note.
