Meth Injection or E85....Please help me decide...

ok i've been trying to think which would be best to do. Theres about 2 e85 stations i could visit but are kinda far at 15mins away each and meth is plentiful.

I may be wrong with somethings so forgive my ignorance...

I want to see if i can get close to 600rwhp on my current turbo.

reasons for going e85 would be...all i'd need to do is fill up straight from pump with out mixing? I think i still need a meter to read the contents of the fuel correct?

reasons for going meth would be...i can have it off/on without wasting, i can find meth at any home depot or lowes.

reasons for not going e85 would be....would need to buy very large injectors...i believe i need about 40% bigger than wat my goal is. I would also need to make 15min trips to refuel unless i can store the fuel.

reasons for not going meth would be...it wastes and would need to carry extra....


anyways i'll see wat u guys hafta say...

my opinion would be methanol...after messing with E85 tuning for a couple of months, we did see plenty of performance gains out of it but it really wasnt enough to be worth the hassle of driving extra to get the gas. methanol has that advantage of only using it when you need it, like spray but not as ridiculous in my opinion. good luck wither way!

How would you drive to the Etown meets etc on e85.....your milage would suffer severly and like you said "only about 3 pumps in a 50 mile radius of Philly:-(....now of you bought a truck and trailer than hook it up lol!

You can get methanol from about anywhere if you had to. I know that there are not alot of gas stations with E85 in my area. I dont know about yours but meth just seems to be the most practical choice here. Also gas mileage is not as good with E85.

maybe so, but if you can tune well, anti-lag fixes all of these problems :naughty:

Sorry but that one small reason wouldnt be enough for me, Ill wait the extra 5 seconds or ill down shift another gear.

Another vote for meth, Being that you can use it on and off if you so please and still street drive your car like normal (with any pump having the fuel you require). Set it on a pressure switch and only have it come on over a certain PSI.
