well, I'm not sure about the AC. Does the ma70 AC trigger go through the body harness or what? I don't really have experience wiring an ma70.

Anyone have an ma70 ewd?

I think I'll pull my harness and ecu apart this weekend. Hopefully I'll have a clear idea of how long it takes to make this stuff for a supra. My harness is a JZZ30 so everything is completely different.

The wiring diagrams can be found rather easily, I just don't have the time to search for it at the moment. the JZA & the JZZ harness only differ at the ECU plugs & the body harness plugs.....I think, all of which would be wired for the MS ECU. Correct me if I'm wrong....

I just went through my wiring harness for my Soarer engine. I thew half of it away.

The Megasquirt makes it a lot easier, using less wires, and it feels so good to have to ONLY hook up about 19 total wires from the MS unit to other components.

19 wires? Thats it?

That's all that go into the MSII housing! And if you get the 4 bar map sensor built INTO the board, with baro correction, the installation is not difficult.

wow, i was looking at where to get the MSII and it sure doesn't look that difficult. I wish i wasn't such a pussy to attack it. sad part is i'm certified at making wires for computers but haven't did it in so long i'm too scared to pay $$$ on something then f**k it up :(

Just buy a pre-made MSII and 3 or 4 bar map sensor AND a 12 foot long wiring harness, which is LABELED for like, just over $600?

Mind you still have to wire up the ignition components, and some of the 19 wires you have to wire together, splice, etc (i.e. injectors, coil packs, ignition components and such).

What would you f**k up? If you make a mistake, go back to stock. It is very reversable. Don't even use your stock harness, just use the one you can buy for the Megasquirt. If you can't get it right, go back to stock, and sell what you don't want anymore.

It's a lot better than a VPC, or any other piggyback, I mean come on, it's a standalone engine management unit, it's supposed to be badass. I just wish it wasn't called a Megasquirt... Name doesn't really do the EMS justice.

ok, i have a tuning question, what sort of timing curve is everyone running? i know how to tune the fuel, i have a wideband for that, but i dont have a clue as to what to set the base map at. im guessing 10deg should be fine to start it, but whats the max advance i should run and at what rpm's, bost level etc.... i am installing a gt4082 with 0.68 a/r turbine, 2 walbro pumps, 830cc/min injectors, ms2 with 4 bar map and edis6 ignition. also will have a direct port water injection hooked up as well for higher boost. i plan on ~20psi fuel only and 26-30psi with the water injection. i just dont wantto tune by ear cause by the time i heatr the detonation it may be too late.

edit: this is for a 7m. found this thread searching, didnt realize it was in other engines but the question is more relevant here then anywhere else so im leaving it.

How long will it take to get everything together? Would that include all of the clips on the harness too? Everything (gauges, A/C, et al) work correctly? A lot of questions, right?

All that, plug it in & drive it? Sounds like a really good price. Do you have any pictures of the harness on your car?

any updates on aphxero making harnesses? i just started to developing a BHG and am thinking of swapping in a 1j motor over the winter, and it will help to know that i would like to hook up only 19 wires instead of cutting and splicing.

That's a nice harnees but won't get you where you need to be. I've been doing some work on the whole thing but I wanna make another ECU and testr it in my car first. I'm sorry it's taking so long guys but I have a day job and everhything. Also, My car has no climate control or idle air controller. Not because I couldn't do it but because I didn;t want to. I'm sure you mk3 guys want to have all that stuff right?

who me? no he didnt. i bought all the stuff and my friend dave put it together for something to do. its set up for low imp injectors, 4 bar map, edis ignition, aem wideband,gm coolant and air temp sensors, etc... its a ms2 on v3 board with the flyback board etc... got to order the starter harness and new injectors and make the vr bracket before i install it. i got venom injectors and had probs aftetr installing so gonna throw them out and get some real injectors. learned the hard way before there was a thread about them.

anyhow, i will be asking ryan for some tips on tuning. they are moving around the corner from my house. literally. lol.
