Megan Racing Radiator Fitment/Quality?

My stock radiator is starting to leak coolant and I am looking to upgrade to a performance radiator. I don't have $500 to drop on a Fluidyne and found the Megan Racing option for $200 on horsepowerfreaks.com

Has anyone installed a Megan Racing radiator on their 7mgte? If so how did it fit? Did you notice a temperature drop?

I will probably end up with the Mishimoto since I cant seem to find anyone who has purchased and installed the Megan Racing radiator. Any recomendations would be apreciated.

I picked up one of the megan rads a year ago, from a cooling stand point I do see temp drops with greater consistency over the stock rad. Though I have to say in terms of fitment it was kind of a pain in the ass to get to fit right in my car. Just trying to put it straight in I ran into a problem (well at least in my car) the rad sat WAY to high and the hood hit it when I tried to shut it. So I had to remove the stock isolator bushings for the rad and trim a little of the lower rad support to get the height right. The only other problem was the rad has no provisions to use the stock rad brackets to hold it in place so I made my own out of some scrap metal (need to make new ones). Aside from these things that I ran into it's an good rad, but to do it again I would rather just save the extra money and get a koyo rad.

idk about the megan but a lot of people seem to be having a decent time with the recent mishimoto rads?

Get a Koyo. You will be happy. They fit perfectly fine.

I kind of figured fitment would be an issue with the cheaper Megan Racing radiator. Thanks for your feedback. The Koyo sounds like a great option but the Mishimoto has the "no questions asked warranty" that could be beneficial if I run into any issues. Plus the Mishi comes with a 1.1 BAR radiator cap and magnetic drain plug where the Koyo does not. Still undecided at this time.
