whats the difference, whats the extra pipe for, I know it comes from the Wastegate right? does it make a big difference over the standard pipe? how is the fitment?

Meagan does have that 2 1/2 inlet, but it was a very nice piece for me on a close to stock car. I did use it with a JDub ported elbow and 3" exhaust with no cat. My stockish car was really quick, but this got me up to fuel cut type boost. Now I have put that same setup on my new car, and am building for 400ish HP. I hope I know soon if you really need to wait if your car is modded. I credited most of my quickness to the JDud elbow. I don't think he still does those, but you can still get a Lipp one or PM him to see if he still does them.

I figured a 2.5" inlet wouldn't really be a issue once connected to a 3" turbo elbow, Lipp or otherwise.

What about the hang low scrape factor and the fit to the stock cat?

What do you mean?
The 2.5" restriction is still there... 3" elbow or not.

It does hang somewhat low, and I have scraped it a few times on the new lowered car. My front bumper is just 3-4 inches off the ground now, so I have to be careful at all times . The bumper is more of a scrape concern than the downpipe.

As for Brent's comment, it will have a restriction. That is why I said I will have to let you know later if it will affect performance at a higher level. At stock levels, it provided more than necessary, as I stated I had fuel cut issues. More airflow would have just gotten there a little faster.

One a normal downpipe, the wastegate dumps right next to the turbine outlet, which creates turbulence right behind the turbine.

On a divorced-wastegate downpipe, the wastegate flow is kept separate from the rest of the exhaust, which allows your turbo to spool more quickly and get higher peak boost.

A divorced-wastegate downpipe that vents to atmosphere (the smaller pipe is open) will give you the "exhaust leak" when the wastegate is open (or if the divider isn't a close fit), and one that recirculates into the exhaust will not.

OK, i just reinserted the statement in my last post about a divorced-wastegate downpipe allowing your turbo to spool more quickly because that's what I'm reading everywhere, but that doesn't make sense... how can the wastegate discharge make your turbo spool slower if it's closed while your turbo is spooling up?

Hello, can we get an expert? :)

It gradually opens, unless you have a boost controller.
