52 is knock sensor, I had knock for a second because the ic water pump was not working and the ic was running hot plus timing has not been set yet because of its inability to idle
code 52 doesnt indicate engine knock. it indicates that there's a short in the knock sensor circuit. basically, either (you have an N/A block, so one knock sensor) your KS is fried, or the wiring is messed up. rewire the KS, and check the actual sensor for output voltage with a multimeter, clear the codes, and your code 52 will be gone.
once again: CODE 52 DOES NOT INDICATE ENGINE KNOCK!
