Hey guys I plan on starting up my 1JZ soon. I understand the CT-12A's dont last very long. My next opinion would be the T3/T4 (being that the CT12A are so costly to rebuild. I'd like to stick with the CT-12As) which driftmotion seems to have everything i need inorder to install that setup. My only real worry is tuning I dont know how to tune (never had too). Setuping up an external wastegate to boost stock would be what I would want to do but have no idea how to go about doing that. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Why a T3/T4? Why not something more modern, and efficient, like a GT35R?
To tune the vehicle, first you're going to need something to adjust fuel, and something to monitor the results. Get a wideband O2 sensor, and gauge, then get something like a SAFC to give you some fuel control.
Then start reading up on proper engine tuning
