I'll definately be there. I don't know about the dyno yet we'll see how my the supra is doing in May. Plan to do some modifying and possibly engine swap for a rebuilt 7mgte, not sure yet.

Sweet! Think any of the other Kentuckians would be interested?

Well I became a member of SF about a a month and a half ago and the site worked for like a week and then it continued to say it was being upgraded for maintenance and I just dont like it. BUT...for the sake of a half decent meeting, i'll post a thread for it!

Ugh... If Toyota doesn't get me the right timing belt, I might not be able to make it the way things are going right now.

I've got 5 timing belts, 3 from Advance, 2 from Toyota... NONE have been the right friggin belt. So I get the # off the old belt, it doesn't exist. WTF? O well, if the belt tomorrow isn't right, I'll be putting the old one on and worrying about it when it finally does break.

Who loves non-interference motors? :icon_razz

and why is this? Bad experience?

MSL is a joke. They constanly rip people off. Guy I know took a car there for some wiring. They gave MSL 380 and some parts to put on the car. 2 months later, they came back to get the car due to excuses and no work on the car. He wouldn't refund the 380, or was able to give the parts the car owner provided.

The car owner ended up getting NO work on the car and 200 back. No parts.. no wiring.. and 180 short.

There are many more instances of this on local forums.

FWIW, he used to run Defcon Motorsports up in Toledo (i think) Ohio.

Fuck em.

Really? We have local forums? The only one I'm finding is Indycarz.com, and it's kind of a kludge.

It's hard to find anything negative about them, but if you look hard, there are a few complaints out there.

http://www.indycarz.com/about20873.html

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff107853.htm

How come nobody uses BBBOnline.com or ResellerRatings.com?

I would definitely shy away from letting them work on my car now, but it should be harmless to dyno there. Hell, I wouldn't trust any local shop with my car anyway -- especially not after the way Quinlin, which came so highly recommended to me, resurfaced my spare head.

I was wondering the same thing myself. If it weren't for Al's warning, I would take pages like the ones I linked above with a huge grain of salt.

Sounds like a great place to me...

Just curious how you can burn a clutch up winching a car onto a trailer... Am I missing something here?

First off, I'm sorry to hear for the ones who had problems...There is always a reason for everything and if they were this bad all the time, surely they wouldn't still be open. I've got acouple friends that go there on a nearly daily basis. They've tuned his car, dyno'd plenty of times and exhaust work, one of the best running SR20 240's around. As for their actual quality of work, I can't really stand behind them because I haven't had any personal experiences...but for dynoing, I'm sure that MSL will be just fine!:)

Yeah, back onto the subject... Jspec, you should put who plans to attend on the first thread.

Yeah, that's probably a good idea -- keep current info like events, times, and who's planning on attending in the first post of this thread; so that people just happening across it can instantly find out what's going on.

Well, if people would read through it and keep up to date, it wouldn't be a problem. :icon_bigg

Got my timing belt yesterday, got it all but put back together, now I just gotta figure out how the heck all my vacuum lines ares supposed to go (It's NEVER been right) I need to post a pic up of the "current" set-up, it'd make a good "pwned" thread. I'll probably get the stupid thing together and get rk or something. :icon_conf

200 rwhp BABY! :wiggle:

People that plan on attending this meet should keep this thread up-to-date, anyways. But since I'm a nice guy...Here are the people I have down for the meet so far.

Me(Jspec7m88)
Adam(82Turbo4Life)
Matt(mkiiSupraMan18)
Mike(TheOneOnlyDrone)
Lee(Eriol)
Justin(supraman420)
Jon(MDCmotorsports) <---If he can get TA51 under the hood!:biglaugh:
Alan(aljordan)
____?(87CandyBlueT)
____?(boost PSSH boost)

Also, I'm trying to get to know you guys by name...so, If I don't know, tell me!:) I'd feel like an idiot at the meet walking up to someone and saying,
"Hey, boost PSSH boost! How are you?" <---

As for time, still planning to be there about 12! We will most likely end up hanging out there(at Hooters) for a little while and wait for Matt to get off work, lol.
