I know it wont be until the end of this month that we get a better idea on location. With that in mind I had a few random thoughts to be considered.

1) We are more than likely going to need a few large canopies, one for shade and eating, one or two more for music and vendor or swap area setup.

2) I believe we are going to need some type of attendance fee. The fee could grant that individual a complimentry Meet T-shirt. I realize that the fee may keep some away, but there must be some type of $$ generation in place. W/O it someone is going to be out some $$$.

3) We did talk previously about getting some food vendors in place. With them there it would be a pay as you go, instead of any of the members worrying about bringing, making food.

4) Dyno and Tune. I realize there are noise concerns, perhaps you could look into exactly what is considered a noise problem in the area. Let me elaborate.

It seems that each time a meet idea is brought up, many seem to like the dyno idea. What would a portable dyno run for the day ? Is one available ? If no such animal exsists, would a tunning area be a possibility ? IS there anyone willing or capable of tunning for the better part of meet ?

Just some random thoughts, we had 7 inches of snow last Friday night. So my mind is many months down the road^^

P.S. Got hand slapped for bumpin up your for sale post.

Mark,

Thanks for the ideas, some are in the works. As far as food, I think we will have enough from the grill, but for options I do think we should get a vendor or 2 to stop by and "Vend"

I will research the noise violation thing again. If not, we might be able to do something w/ the shop down the road that day. (another idea came to me:aigo: i'll PM you)

i wouldn't mind coming down to a big meet, which city are you planning on hosting it?

If you come down, you have to talk my friend from Ontario in to coming. I'll PM him and let him know that someone else might be coming from Toronto.

Great News ladies and gents...

Just got a phone call, the Priority Toyota Dealership is locked in:biglaugh: I go meet w/ the general sales manager on sat morning. We are going to walk the lot, estimate space and go over rules and plans. So stand by for a new thread with the details for our May 15th 2010 Supra Meet.

Mark, jordan, if we do the grill thing again, the food may have to be free. I am sure there are laws against selling w/o a licence . If we get a vendor that would be easy on the members, but that would ruin my plan( Jordan knows what I mean). You may want to check w the location, they may have someone they have used before.

Personally I would like to take care of the grillin again, it will be much better this time. Just gotta figure out the price thing.

Hi Mark

I am not hung up on any specific venue, including food. Just a few thoughts though ( I seem to have them a lot ).

Since this meet is going to be in a more openly public area, do not be surprised if we get the public wandering in. Actually that is a good thing, considering the meet is also a way to show our Supras to John Q Public. This also however presents a problem IF John Q is hungry or thirsty. We can't just provide the drinks and food then.

IF we do intend to grill, I would imagine this would turn most independent food vendors away. Sort of a catch 22. Once again it depends on what we want this meet to end up being. If we are truly aiming at large multi state numbers, the grill would be required to feed well over 200 people.

It may seem early, but the sooner we get this all nailed down the better off we are at getting the numbers we want. Once Jordan walks the lot we will know what number to shoot for this year. No sense in having many Supras and no place to park them.
