Yes... by having the walbro in the tank and using the stock FPR it tends to bump your fuel pressure out of spec, using a SAFC to try to correct that jump is a little much. Your suppose to use a SAFC or similar to "fine tune" your system, not compensate for big jumps.

Your best bet would be to get a AFPR set your base and then tune from there, a knock monitor or a wideband would also be a good investment.

If you live in a controlled atmosphere, and never chance a single thing related to the engine again, then you'll be fine for the most part.

Your biggest issue will probably be finding any sort of consistency over a long term period, since your car has basically no control over fuel pressure any more the ECUs learned value will be constantly changing to compensate for varying scenarios/conditions and your open loop AFR reading will change with it.
