Today I started the process of replacing the valve stem seals with new ones from a 2jz.

I love working on the 1jz, soooo easy.

Only took 1.25hrs to remove everything including the cams, and this was taking my time and checking ebay on the laptop. LOL

Later tonight or tomorrow I'll start replacing the actual seals.

Dude! the 2jz valve stem seals dont work on 1jz, they are different!

OK, I pulled one intake and exhaust seal out. Definate bad... they are hard and fit over the stem very loosely.

Anyhow, I must not have 2jz seals because these are an exact match, and fit perfect.

GOD, i'm so happy i'm not going to have a smoking engine anymore :love:
