lol, the red ones were the wrong thread pitch anyhow... they are going on the wife's work wheels.
Today I started the process of replacing the valve stem seals with new ones from a 2jz.
I love working on the 1jz, soooo easy.
Only took 1.25hrs to remove everything including the cams, and this was taking my time and checking ebay on the laptop. LOL
Later tonight or tomorrow I'll start replacing the actual seals.

How much clearance to the fender would you say you have in the front and rear? I'm considering some wheels that have a little bit more aggressive offset and I'm hoping I won't have to roll the fenders.

OK, I pulled one intake and exhaust seal out. Definate bad... they are hard and fit over the stem very loosely.
Anyhow, I must not have 2jz seals because these are an exact match, and fit perfect.

sweet, i heard of that way but questioned how well it worked. what are you using to remove the keepers?
snap-on has a tool for $40
it removes and installs the keepers.
just push the tool down with your hand... no need for a mallet.
