I was just wondering has anyone use this kit or heard of anything. I looking to rebuild my motor with OEM parts maybe upgrade my turbo nothing extreme. And what else should I get to rebuild my motor besides the HKS HG and ARP studs

ARP rod bolts would be good insurance, also new oil squirters..drawing a blank right now im sure someone else will chime in.

edit: if you plan to use stock rods and arp bolts machine shop will need to resize the rods.

Rod bolts with the rods resized
Rod and Main bearings correctly sized
Piston rings
Comp Cam BBC Valve Springs

that is for a set of 12 inner valve springs for a Big Block Chevy. You need to order two sets of those. Also, notes that the spring is slightly too large but it will still fit into the stock retainers but very snugly. Many people are running these without problems and for the price you can't beat running new parts.

Also, get a new water pump, oil pump, and timing belt tensioner. You might also want to look into replacing the oil pump driveshaft bearing, but I didn't do it.

they are a dual spring set up, and the inner springs fit,

iirc- the seat pressure is about 12-20 pounds over stock, they hit coil bind further then stock

all in all they would work great for a new spring upgrade. ... some reason i let my machinist talk me out of them though? he told me i wouldn't need the high seat pressure even if im sittin on redline in this motor
i think he was looking more into reliabilty. didn't want the valves or cams to take a shit i guess?

Yeah I'm pretty sketched out by that deal. All of the things that are in that kit would run you a hell of a lot more than 550 dollars. But hey, if you feel you need to save the money then try it out and let us all know how it is after about 50k miles :icon_bigg
