mass air flow sensor

hmmm is there a way to clen the mass air flow sensor... cuz i think i did it wrong =/ my supra was running great before i decided to clean it. my friend had a mass air flow sensor cleaner and i deciced to use it... well i cleaned it and now that i have it on, i have trouble starting it and when it does start i rev it and the car just dies... wth did i do wrong here and what can i do fix it =/

The stock air flow meter was ruined because it is not a mass air flow sensor. There are more technical descriptions on why the hot wire meter as it is sometimes called can "count" air molucules and seperate the moisture and account for density. But the Toyota link is just an over view for you.

Not at all surprising with that car. There is good reason the car comes with a dry filter from the factory that many seem to ignore.

But is shouldn't have had oil all over it. Don't you agree?

Becareful with those K&N. I let mine dry for 12 hours before oilinlg. Then it dries another 12 from the oil itself. And don't over do it. Just cover the pleats, don't fill in the gaps. It will spread out.

Mine was covered in oil because of much worse reasons man I have two pistons with rings down): picking donor motor up tomorrow.

well i just found one at the junk yard for 20 dollars... IT WORKS! lolz phew got saved there... not going to happen ever again! lolz thanx again guys
