Check the bulb on the fog before you go and replace it. The map light you just pry the housing down, and pull it off. It snaps on, and will take a little muscle but will come off.

Could be the bulbs or grounds, happens to the grounds all the time.

ok took the map light cover off and the bulbs look fine? i checked all the fuses also and they are all good.still nothing. ill use a 9v batt on the bulbs and a multimeter to the fixture tomorrow to test it.

glad the fog bulbs are replaceable. i might go with yellow ones. is it best to get under the car and remove the smaller plastic skid plate to get to it?

The fogs are easy to remove from behind the bumper.

If the bulbs are good on the map lights, check the grounds. I forgot who decided to do a write-up on it for anyone who couldn't figure it out. The rivets are the grounds as well as the screw that hold it into the body. You also have to make sure the clamps that hold the bulbs in are tight on the bulbs. I can't help you much more beyond that.

With you fogs working all the time and one going out, I would think it's the bulb.

The fog lights come out from the front. There's a single screw, the bezel comes off, and the entire light assembly slides out the front.

On the 89+, anyway. I've never worked on that part of the 88- cars.
