i just picked up a 90t and the driver seat was all manual except for the lumbar support. ive havent had this in any of my other supra before. was the full electric seat an option you could get and not standard?

I have never seen a Supra without a drivers side electric anchor....I mean seat.
I've actually considered taking a passanger seat and using it on the drivers side, probably save 50lbs.
Does it have all the adjustments like the electric one, only manual, or is it just like the passenger side?

yeah it has all the adjustments, you can raise and lower with a knob and titlt it the same way. it also has a regular slider. the lumbar is electric though. this is the first ive seen like that.
Almost sounds like it's a passenger seat out of a JDM, Australian or UK model...i figured all MK III driver's seats were fully electric as well.

Sounds like a winner to me. Plus once you get it where you want, who cares whether it's electric or not. Painless weight loss if you ask me. :icon_bigg
My '88 NA (Sport package) has a manual driver's seat. The seat back angle adjustment oozes down, but it takes many months. There's also an adjustment to raise the part under your thighs, which I've not moved in forever. Yes, the lumbar adjustment is electric with the knob on the center console. The seat forward and back slide has a handle underneath like the passenger seat. There's a rib width adjustment, which is also electric - same knob as the lumbar adjustment.

I got a manual driver/passenger seat from an 88 N/A at the junkyard. You wouldn't believe how much ligheter it is.

They're the real deal. I just like showing them off whenever possible. I have the full recaro interior. I cheated and got an actual JZA70 TT-R, but I did put a lot of effort into getting the interior restored. And it's not for saleRennat said:

i found out that the wner took out the original leather seats and replaced them with the cloth ones that are in there. i am excited about the liitle bit of weightloss by not having a fully electric seat.
